Buffer gas beam coolers may become excellent beam preparation devices for high-resolution mass separation. The small beam emittance provided makes efficient isobar resolution a realistic goal. In order to fulfill the needs of future facilities providing high-intensity beams of rare isotopes, it is desirable to increase the beam intensity limit of such devices from typically several tens of nanoamperes to microamperes. This requires the usage of high-voltage radiofrequencies in a low-pressure gas environment. A buffer gas beam cooler, dedicated to this purpose, is under development at the NSCL. The study of voltage breakdowns under such conditions and the design of an electrode system minimizing them is mandatory.   相似文献

A one-dimensional nanodusty plasma was modeled by self-consistently coupling a plasma model with nanoparticle growth, charging, and transport models. As nanoparticles grow from subnanometer to tens of nm in diameter, the numerical results predict a rich spatiotemporal structure, including four distinct temporal phases: a charge-limited phase, a charge accumulation phase, an early ion drag phase, and a sheath interaction phase.  相似文献

A new algorithm/program has been elaborated for simultaneous processing of different sets of vapour–liquid equilibrium data. The program was tested with six binary hexane + isomeric pentanol systems, each of them measured at three different isobaric conditions and one isothermal system of tert-butyl-methyl-ether + 2-methyl-2-propanol measured at three different temperatures. The correlation uses the maximum likelihood method, taking into account real behaviour of vapour phase. The parameters obtained are valid within the whole temperature range of the data, and are consistent in comparison with those obtained from individual correlations of isobars or isotherms. Results are presented for the Wilson and NRTL equations.  相似文献

Bixin is the major carotenoid in the seed of the Annatto plant (Bixa orellana L.). The aim of this study was to obtain extracts containing bixin from seeds that had been partially defatted by supercritical fluid extraction. Pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) and low-pressure solvent extraction (LPSE) methods were used, and the effects of the solvent, temperature, pressure, solvent mass to feed mass (S/F) ratio and ultrasonication were evaluated for the global yield (X0(%)) and the bixin yield (BY(%)). Extraction conditions producing high yields of bixin were established for both the PLE and LPSE methods. Analysis of variance was used to examine the influence of the individual extraction variables in LPSE and PLE. For LPSE; significant effects were found for solvent, temperature, and the interactions of temperature with solvent and temperature with S/F. Solvent was the only variable that significantly affected X0(%) and BY(%), for PLE. While ultrasonication did not significantly affect X0(%) or BY(%), scanning electron microscopy analysis revealed structural changes in the vegetal matrix following this treatment.  相似文献

New investigations in MRI of a mouse heart showed high-contrast cardiac images and thereby the possibility of doing functional cardiac studies of in vivo mice. But is MRI, in addition, capable of visualizing microstructures such as the coronary arteries and the heart valves of a living mouse? To answer this question, 2D and 3D gradient echo sequences with and without flow compensation were used to image the coronary arteries. To increase signal-to-noise ratio, a birdcage resonator was optimized for mouse heart imaging. Contrast between blood and myocardium was achieved through the inflow effect. A segmented three-dimensional FLASH sequence acquired with a multiple overlap thin slab technique showed the best results. With this technique an isotropic resolution of 100 microm was achieved. The left coronary artery could be visualized up to the apex of the heart. This is demonstrated with short axis views and 3D surface reconstructions of the mouse heart. The four cardiac valves were also visible with the 3D method.  相似文献

This paper analyses the mechanism of interaction between an incident pressure wave and blockages of different geometrical characteristics (i.e., a butterfly and a ball valves, two short stretches of pipe with a reduced diameter, and a device simulating a longitudinal body blockage) by means of laboratory and numerical tests. Experiments have shown that the mechanism of interaction with pressure waves is influenced by their path through the device: sinuous because of the device body for partially closed in-line valves (type I mechanism), and straight for the small bore pipe devices (type II mechanism). Type I mechanism is characterized by a rise followed by an almost constant value whereas in type II one a drop occurs after the rise. To complete the investigation the effect of the pre-transient condition is discussed.  相似文献

The equilibrium process of plasma nitrogen species by chemical kinetic reactions along various pressures is successfully investigated. The equilibrium process is required in industrial application to obtain the stable condition when heating up the material for having homogenous reaction. Nitrogen species densities is modeled by a continuity equation and extended Arrhenius form. These equations are used to integrate the change of density over the time. The integration is to acquire density and the reaction rate of each reaction where temperature and time dependence are imposed. A comparison is made with global model within pressure range of 1-100 mTorr and the temperature of electron is set to be higher than other nitrogen species. The results show that the chemical kinetic model only agrees for high pressure because of no power imposed; while the global model considers the external power along the pressure range then the electron and nitrogen species give highly quantity densities by factor of 3-5.  相似文献

利用高分辨电子显微学方法(HREM)研究了纳米氧化层镜面反射自旋阀多层结构Ta(35nm)Ni80Fe20(2nm)Ir17Mn83(6nm)Co90Fe10(15nm)NOL1Co90Fe10(2nm)Cu(22nm)Co90Fe10(15nm)NOL2Ta(3nm).该自旋阀的巨磁电阻(GMR)效应高达15%,较无此镜面反射纳米氧化层(NOL)的自旋阀提高近1倍,同时交换偏置场亦有所增强.高分辨显微结构分析表明,介于钉扎层与被钉扎层之间的氧化层(NOL1)并未完全氧化,即除氧化过程生成的CoFe氧化物 关键词: 自旋阀 纳米氧化层 高分辨电子显微学 巨磁电阻效应  相似文献

通过实验的方法研究了电流变液流经两间距为1.1mm的平行电极板的流动行为,实验所观测到的由于电流变液在电场作用下非均匀固化所引起的固相颗粒淤积与饱和过程、河道分岔和失稳等现象,对现有的有关电流变阀均匀流动模型提出了质疑,这为进一步深入理解电流变液的力学行为,建立新的理论模型提供了实验依据  相似文献
