Repressors are proteins that interact with inducers and operators to regulate the synthesis of enzymes in the cell. Lac repressor ensures that sufficient β-galactosidase is available to the bacterium Escherichia coli, depending upon the amount of lactose present in the culture medium. It has proved possible to isolate lac repressor from E.coli. The present progress report describes how these discoveries were made, as well as the formation and mode of action of the repressor. 相似文献

On the basis of the beaming model, we have derived a relation between the observed polarization (Pob) and Doppler-corrected optical magnitude (mcorr), log Pob=0.4(1-k) mcorr+C. We tested the correlation between Pob} and mcorr. The main results are as follows: (1) for both high and low states, there are strong correlations between Pob and mcorr for 29 RBLs with well-observed polarization and Doppler factor, where mcorr=mob+(3+α)logδ/0.4, and δ is the optical Doppler factor; (2) no correlation exists between Pob and the observed optical magnitude, mob, for the 29 RBLs in high state, but there is a close correlation for the 29 RBLs in low state; (3) however, there is an obvious anti-correlation between Pob and mcorr for 35 XBLs with good simultaneous observation data. Our results show that (i) a new difference in polarization is found between RBLs and XBLs; (ii) this difference in polarization between RBLs and XBLs seems really to be physical differences. 相似文献

Evidence for the long-term optical curve variability and colour behaviour of the BL
Lac object Mkn 421 is presented. Our results show that the amplitude of the optical
variations of Mkn 421 is only about {\Delta} B=4.7 magnitude in the B-band for
its photometric history from 1899 to 2002. The results of optical photometric
monitoring of the Mkn 421 from April 2000 to Jan 2002 are provided. During our
observation, Mkn 421 shows significant rapid variations and exhibits short time
variability of 2.42 hours in the B band. A strong correlation between the B-V
colour index and the magnitude in the B band is found. Our charge coupled device
(CCD) photometry of Mkn 421 shows that the measured results are in good agreement
with the predicted optical variability period of about 23 years. 相似文献

Screen-printed electrodes (SPEs), which are used as economical electrochemical substrates, have gone through significant improvements over the past few decades with respect to both their format and their printing materials. Because of their advantageous material properties, such as disposability, simplicity, and rapid responses, SPEs have been successfully utilised for the rapid in situ analysis of environmental pollutants. This critical review describes the basic fabrication principles, the configuration designs of SPEs and the hybrid analytical techniques based on SPEs. We mainly overview the electrochemical applications of SPEs in environmental analysis over the past 3 years, including the determination of organic compounds, heavy metals and gas pollutants. 相似文献

Valdecoxib has been entrapped in sub-5 μm particles of poly[Lac(Glc-Leu)] copolymer using a oil-in-water (o/w) emulsification–solvent evaporation technique. To achieve monodispersed sized particles, a microfluidizer was used as ultrasonication device. Formulation parameters such as effect of polymer load, ultrasonication time, stabilizer concentration and stirring rate have a profound effect on particle size, and polydispersity. By adjustment of these parameters, microparticles ranging from about 0.8 to more than 4 μm have been prepared. 相似文献

从大量文献资料中,收集了BL Lac天体H0323+022光学V波段的大量观测数据,获得了H0323+ 022从1982年至2003年的长期光变曲线.给出了从2000年至2003年,使用云南天文台1米望远 镜和上海天文台的156米望远镜,对H0323+022进行光学波段近4年的监测数据,观测发现 了H0323+022在光学R波段有7min的短时标光变.色指数B—V与V波段的星等值有较强的相关性 ,对H0323+022 CCD测光的结果与Bai(1998)观测的结果ΔR=063 ΔI=081是 一致的.由观测所发现的短时标光变,推算出了BL Lac天体H0323+022的中心黑洞质量和辐射 区域.

The spectral hardening with increasing intensity in optical range for four BL Lac objects have been found by analyzing our observed data. Making use of the synchrotron loss of transient injection of relativistic electrons, we succeeded in explaining the phenomenon of the spectral hardening in the outburst phase. The value of magnetic intensity and the limit condition of the transient injection of relativistic electrons seem to be reasonable. 相似文献

近半个多世纪以来生命科学取得了非凡的进展, 从DNA双螺旋结构的提出, 到第一个酶晶体结构的被解析, 都得益于像X射线衍射、核磁共振、质谱这样的物理化学工具的发展. 如今, 在深入细致地定量研究生物活体系统中我们正面临新的挑战, 例如:了解酶及其他大分子复合物在体内是如何实时工作的, 它们在分子数很少时是怎样工作的, 在活细胞中大分子复合物是如何协调工作的, 以及不同的基因在活细胞中分子数很少的情况下是如何实现表达和不表达的等等. 近十多年来, 单分子成像, 超高分辨率显微镜和单分子操纵技术在世界范围内被广泛地运用于生物医学研究, 对生物化学和分子生物学的发展产生着深远的影响, 因为运用这些单分子、超高分辨技术, 使很多如上述的令人感兴趣的生物学问题实现了单分子层面上的研究和理解. 本文拟就近年来相关的物理化学方法特别是单分子方法和技术在生物医学中的应用做一个简要介绍. 相似文献
