Gold(I)-catalysed iodoalkoxylation of allenes

Gold(I)-catalysed intermolecular iodoalkoxylation of allenes occurs in a regioselective and stereoselective manner to produce versatile iodo-tert-allyllic ether products. The products can be further elaborated through cross-couplings to yield highly substituted tert-allylic ethers.     

Stereoselective Z-iodoalkoxylation of 1,2-allenyl sulfides or selenides

Iodoalkylation of 1,2-allenyl sulfides or selenides with I₂ in MeCN/ROH (20:1) afforded Z-3-alkoxy-2-iodopropenyl sulfides or selenides in high stereoselectivity and moderate to good yields. The carbon-iodine bonds in these compounds may undergo Suzuki, Negishi, and Sonogashira coupling reaction smoothly.     

Benzyl(triphenyl)phosphonium Dichloroiodate: A New Reagent for Coiodination of Alkenes

A mild, efficient, and regio‐ and stereoselective method for iodoalkoxylation and iodohydroxylation of olefins has been developed using benzyl(triphenyl)phosphonium dichloroiodate as iodine source. This procedure led to the corresponding iodoalkoxylated and iodohydroxylated products in moderate to excellent yields.
