A new liquid crystalline polyacetylene containing a phenyl benzoate mesogen (5) is synthesized,whose mesomorphic properties are found to be easily "tunab1e" by simple mechanical perturbation. Thepolymerization of 10- [ 4 - (4' -methoxyphenoxycarbonyl )phenoxycarbonyl] - 1 -decyne (4 ) in itiated by theWCl_6-Ph_4Sn/dioxane complex yields polymer 5 with a M_w of 28400. The molecular structure of 5 ischaracterized by NMR, IR, and UV spectroscopy and its liquid crystalline behavior is investigated by DSC,POM, and XRD analysis. Upon mechanical perturbation, 5 exhibits unusual agitation-induced high-strengthdisclinations, shear-induced inversion walls, and solidification-induced banded textures. Such phenomenahave been observed in the main-chain liquid crystalline polymers with rigid backbones, but have seldom beenreported for the side-chain liquid crystalline polymers with flexible backbones, suggesting that the rigidpolyacetylene backbone of 5 plays a constructive role in inducing the novel molecular alignments. 相似文献

In quasicrystals, there are not only conventional, but also phason displacement fields and associated Burgers vectors. We
have calculated approximate solutions for the elastic fields induced by two-, three- and fivefold straight screw- and edge-dislocations
in infinite icosahedral quasicrystals by means of a generalized perturbation method. Starting from the solution for elastic
isotropy in phonon and phason spaces, corrections of higher order reflect the two-, three- and fivefold symmetry of the elastic
fields surrounding screw dislocations. The fields of special edge dislocations display characteristic symmetries also, which
can be seen from the contributions of all orders.

The paper presented some useful results of deep-penetration laser welding of high-strength galvanized steel sheets, which had been carried out by a self-made CO2 laser unit with maximum power output of 1.5 kW. The workpieces of high-strength galvanized automobile steels with thickness of 1.5 mm were butt-welded with argon as the shielding gas. The effects of such factors as laser power, welding speed, focal position, shielding gas and zinc vaporization on the quality of welds are investigated. With the processing parameters optimized and the proper shielding gas used in both coaxial and side-blow direction, most of the defects, such as pores, cracks and softening in HAZ, can be avoided in laser welding joints. The microstructure, the hardness distribution and the elemental distribution in the welding joints can be changed due to laser heating and recrystallization. In order to determine the mechanical properties of the welding joints, the static tensile strength was tested. Experimental results indicated that both the strength and microhardness of welding joints were higher than those of the base metal. Consequently, the welding quality is reliable for manufacturing of automobile bodies. 相似文献

Aiming to develop a high performance fiber-reinforced natural rubber (NR) without using resorcinol formaldehyde latex (RFL) adhesives of environmental load substances, a special technique using electron beam (EB) irradiation-induced graft polymerization was applied to high-modulus polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers. Although PET is chemically inert, acrylate functional silane could be graft-polymerized onto the PET fiber surface by this special technique. The composite of NR and grafted PET fibers indicated a linear increase in the initial modulus with the fiber content. The fiber reinforced rubber with a good performance was obtained in the system of NR and grafted PET fibers. 相似文献

We elucidate here the deformation behaviour and delamination phenomenon in a high-strength low-alloy bainitic steel, in terms of microstructure, texture and stress evolution during deformation via in situ electron back-scattered diffraction and electron microscopy. Furthermore, the selective role of bainitic lath boundary on slip systems was studied in terms of dislocation pile-up and grain boundary energy models. During tensile deformation, the texture evolution was concentrated at {1 1 0}<1 1 1> and the laths were turn parallel to loading direction. The determining role of lath on the deformation behaviour is governed by length/thickness (l/t) ratio. When l/t > 28, the strain accommodates along the bainite lath rather than along the normal direction. The delamination crack initiated normal to (0 1 1) plane, and become inclined to (0 1 1) plane with continued strain along (0 1 1) plane and lath plane. This indicated that the delamination is not brittle process but plastic process. The lack of dimples at the delaminated surface is because of lack of strain normal to the direction of lath. The delaminated (0 1 1) planes were associated with cleavage along the (1 0 0) plane. 相似文献

The elastic-plastic behaviour of dual-phase, high-strength steel sheets under two-stage strain-path changes has been investigated. Three different loading sequences, namely monotonic, 45° tensile path changes and orthogonal tensile path changes complied by sequences of simple uniaxial tensile tests, were analysed at room temperature. From the experiments, it was found that there is a considerable reduction of the initial flow stress over the strain-path changes. The transient softening phenomenon is observed to be a function of orientation, and the period of the transient behaviour following the strain-path change is lengthened with the amount of pre-strain. A constitutive model is adopted that includes combined isotropic and kinematic hardening and is capable of describing the marked transient softening behaviour after the pre-straining. The experimental stress–strain behaviour subsequent to the strain path change is predicted with reasonable accuracy, while the model fails to accurately describe the transient, deformation-induced anisotropy in the plastic flow. 相似文献

提出了用于高强度材料的改进的SHPB实验方法添加垫块法,运用数值模拟方法,利用有限元程序LS-DYNA3D分析了添加垫块实验方法的合理性和可行性。根据一维应力波理论,给出了数据处理的修正方法。作为应用实例,采用改进的实验方法对高强度的Al2O3陶瓷材料的动态力学性能进行了研究,得到了比常规方法较高的应变率及应力应变范围的动态应力应变曲线,表明Al2O3陶瓷为应变率相关的非线性弹脆性材料。结果表明,添加垫块实验方法可有效地防止实验中压杆端面的变形,提高试件的应力应变及应变率水平。添加垫块实验方法为在SHPB装置上实现高强度材料的动态实验提供了一种方便实用的途径。 相似文献

A model is developed to investigate the two-dimensional interfacial
misfit dislocation networks that follows the original Peierls-Nabarro idea.
Structure and energies of heterophase interfaces are considered for the cubic
lattice. To examine the energy contribution of misfit dislocations, where
interactions between two dislocation arrays are concerned, a generalized
stacking fault energy is proposed. Combined with first-principles
calculations, we apply this model to a practical metal-ceramic example: the
Ag/MgO(100) interface. An important correction to the adhesive energy
is proposed in addition to its dislocation structure being confirmed. 相似文献
