Eight new homologous series of 4-alkyl-N-(4-alkloxysalicylidene)anilines were synthesized. The phase transitions of these homologues were determined using differential scanning calorimetry and polarizing optical microscopy. The homologues began to exhibit liquid crystalline phases as the terminal alkyl or alkoxyl chains were lengthened. In addition, some members of these homologues series exhibited photochromism in the solid state.  相似文献

Two extensive homologous series of H-shaped symmetrical dimers were synthesized and their thermotropic properties studied by differential scanning calorimetry and on a hot-stage of a polarizing microscope. These compounds consist of two mesogenic units of azoester interconnected through flexible spacers (n?=?4) resulting in the structure of ‘H-shaped’ dimeric compounds. The difference between the two series is in the structure of terminal substituents (–CH3 for series I and –OCH3 for series II) attached on the azoester mesogens at one terminus. All these compounds were found to be smectogenic. The effect of different terminal substituents on mesomorphism is discussed. The trans-azobenzene groups of the H-shaped dimeric compounds display a high-intensity π–π* transition at about 365?nm and a low-intensity π–π* transition at around 460?nm, therefore, photochromism can be achieved by the introduction of the azo linkage to the H-shaped dimeric compounds.  相似文献

H型聚合物是一种具有轻度支化拓扑结构的高分子,通常具有不同于线型、星型和超支化聚合物的流变性能、本体和溶液组装性能。由于H型聚合物的合成较为复杂,一直以来,科研工作者的工作重点均集中于如何精确合成与构筑,性能研究较为有限。本文根据H型聚合物构筑段的不同从H型均聚物、二元共聚物、三元共聚物、五元共聚物以及其他H型聚合物的合成及性质方面进行了总结和评述,并在此基础上展望了H型聚合物的研究方向和发展趋势。  相似文献

在生物酶催化剂Novozyme-435的作用下, 乙二醇引发己内酯(ε-CL)酶促开环聚合, 再用三乙胺作催化剂, 将PCL端羟基与2,2-二氯代乙酰氯反应, 生成四官能度大分子引发剂, 引发甲基丙烯酸环氧丙酯(GMA)的原子转移自由基聚合(ATRP), 合成了H型三嵌段共聚物(PGMA)2-b-PCL-b-(PGMA)2. 嵌段共聚物的结构通过核磁共振和凝胶渗透色谱(GPC)得到了确证, 其多分散性为1.32, 分子量为32000. 通过差热扫描量热法对嵌段共聚物的热性能进行了研究.  相似文献

利用电子束直写系统和反应离子束刻蚀的方法制作了周期性排列H-形空气槽.样品的参量:金膜的厚度为120 nm,石英基底的厚度0.8 mm(其中有5 nm厚的铬层),样品是由30×30个单个H-形周期排列形成的,总体尺寸为40×40 μm2.每个H-形之间的周期为1.1 μm,H-形的臂长均为500 nm,空气槽的宽度为120 nm.然后用实验的方法测量了在近红外波段的透过曲线,在近红外波段1.6 μm处的透过率约为16.3%,用传输矩阵的方法对H-形空气槽结构进行了理论模拟,实验与理论模拟结果吻合较好.随后研究了当入射光的偏振方向与H-形结构的长轴之间的夹角分别为0°、30°、45°、60°和90°时透过曲线的变化情况.通过实验和理论表明,表面等离子体在这种特殊的结构中仍然存在,并且在光的增强透过起着决定性的作用.  相似文献

A new class of extended conjugated mesogens, namely H-shaped mesogens based on 3,3?,5,5?-tetrasubstituted 2,2?-bithiophene with oligo(1,4-phenyleneethynylene) arms, have been synthesised, and the relationships between molecular structures and mesomorphic properties investigated. Tetraalkyl, tetraalkoxy and dialkyldialkoxy derivatives, [R1C6H4CCC6H2(C2H5)2CC]2[R2C6H4CCC6H2(C2H5)2CC]2C8H2S2 where R1 and R2 = alkyl and alkoxy chains of different lengths, exhibit nematic phases. The length, number and position of the terminal chains strongly affect the mesomorphic properties. The tetraalkyl derivatives in which R1 = R2 = pentyl to heptyl exhibit enantiotropic mesophases, whereas the derivatives with octyl or nonyl chains exhibit monotropic mesophases. The tetraalkoxy derivatives in which R1 = R2 = pentyloxy to nonyloxy all exhibit enantiotropic nematic phases. The mesophase range increases with increasing alkoxy chain length, except that the octyloxy and nonyloxy derivatives have almost the same temperature range. The dialkyldialkoxy derivatives in which R1 = alkyl; R2 = alkoxy and in which R1 = alkoxy; R2 = alkyl (R1 and R2 = heptyl, nonyl, hexyloxy or nonyloxy) exhibit enantiotropic mesophases. The derivatives in which R1 = alkoxy have a significantly lower crystal–nematic transition temperature than the corresponding derivatives (R2 = alkoxy), although the two types of derivatives have a similar nematic–isotropic transition temperature.  相似文献

<正>A series of H-shaped(PS)_2PEG(PS)_2 block copolymers with different PS chain lengths were prepared.The influence of different confinements active on the crystallization and self-nucleation(SN) behavior of the PEG blocks was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).When the content of the crystalline block was high,a classical SN behavior was obtained.The block copolymer with PEG content of 49%(by weight) showed a classical SN behavior with a narrow self-nucleation domain and had bimodal crystallization exotherms.When the PEG dispersed as separated microdomains in the block copolymer,the self-nucleation domain disappeared and only annealing was observed.  相似文献

Novel and effective H-shaped chromophores were doped into polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) to form guest-host polymer thin films.The measurement results of Maker fringe method show that the polymer thin films containing the H-shaped chromophores as a guest exhibit high second harmonic coefficients (d33) compared with other two-dimensional chromophores.  相似文献

The heat capacity of the cubic mesogen ACBC(16) was measured between 16 and 500?K by adiabatic calorimetry. As well as the known condensed phases, a new crystalline phase was found to undergo a glass transition at around 165?K. Phase transitions between crystal, SmC, cubic, and isotropic liquid phases took place at 399.16, 431.15, and 474.30?K, respectively. As in the case of ANBC, a broad hump was observed in the heat capacity of the isotropic liquid phase. The first order nature of the SmC–cubic phase transition was confirmed for the first time by the observation of supercooling of the cubic phase. The broad hump in the isotropic liquid phase was shown to extend to a low temperature side if the isotropic liquid was supercooled, suggesting that the event occurring at the hump is not directly related to the cubic–isotropic liquid phase transition.  相似文献
