Continuous investigation on oligostilbenes from the lianas of Gnetum hainanense resulted in the isolation of a new rhapontigenin dimer, Gnetuhainin P (1), in addition to the dimers of resveratrol and oxyresveratrol reported previously1. Gnetuhainin P (1) was obtained as a yellowish amorphous powder, [(]25D +6.6 (c 0.092, MeOH).
