The freezing temperatures and densities (at 31°C) of solutions of octane, nonane, decane, 3,3-diethylpentane, and sodium oleate inN-methylacetamide (NMA) have been measured. The molality of the freezing solution was calculated from the density. The solubilities of octane, nonane, and decane inN-methylacetamide are also reported. Apparent molal volumes calculated from the densities are close to the values in the pure hydrocarbons and are not strong functions of the concentration. This indicates the absence of any unusual packing effect. The calculated free energies of transfer of the hydrocarbons from pure hydrocarbon to NMA solution are much less negative than the corresponding values for water, showing that the bulk solvophobic interaction inN-methylacetamide is smaller than in water. This is consistent with the freezing temperatures of sodium oleate which show that micelles do not form below 0.1 mole-kg–1. The osmotic coefficients of the hydrocarbons calculated from the freezing temperatures showed negative deviations from ideality that were larger for the hydrocarbons with the higher molecular weights. Two estimates of the pairwise solvophobic interaction inN-methylacetamide indicate that it is also smaller than in water. The solvophobic effect in this solvent does not include the large entropy and enthalpy effects found in aqueous solutions.  相似文献

The freezing points, conductivities, and densities of NaI, KI, CsI, Bu4NCl, Bu4NBr, Bu4NI, Et4NBr, and Pr4NBr (where Et = ethyl, Pr = propyl, and Bu =n-butyl) in ethylene carbonate have been measured. Osmotic and activity coefficients were calculated from the results. All of the salts studied are strong electrolytes. The trends in the osmotic coefficients of the alkali metal iodides are NaI>KI>CsI, showing that Na+ is more solvated by ethylene carbonate than Cs+. For the tetraalkylammonium halides, the order of osmotic coefficients are Et4NBrPr4NBrBu4NCl>Bu4NBr>Bu4NI. This is the same order as observed in two other high-dielectric-constant solvents, water andN-methylacetamide. The results indicate that the smaller anions are more solvated than the larger anions in ethylene carbonate in contrast to the usual behavior of dipolar aprotic (basic) solvents, such as dimethyl sulfoxide.  相似文献

Freezing temperatures of dilute aqueous solutions of ethyl acetate and mixtures with myo-inositol, D-mannitol, formamide, 1,3,5-trioxane, 1,4-dioxane, acetamide, hexamethylenetetramine, and methyl formate have been measured. In addition, freezing temperatures of dilute aqueous solutions of methyl formate and mixtures with the above solutes have been measured. From these data, the pairwise molecular Gibbs energies of interaction between the molecules were calculated. Using the additivity principle, the pairwise functional group Gibbs energies of interaction were calculated for ester group interactions with a variety of other functional groups.  相似文献

The effects of multi-frequency ultrasound assisted freezing on the freezing rate, microstructure, quality properties (drip loss, firmness, total calcium content, l-ascorbic acid content and total phenol content) of potatoes were studied. The results indicated that the freezing effects of multi-frequency ultrasound was better than those of single-frequency ultrasound. Multi-frequency ultrasound could significantly increase the freezing rate and preserve the quality of frozen samples better. With increase in the number of ultrasonic frequencies, the freezing effect was more obvious. In addition, scan electron microscopy (SEM) images showed that the ice crystals formed by the multi-frequency ultrasonic treatment were fine and uniformly distributed, which caused less damage to the frozen potato samples. From the analysis of the quality attributes, the nutritional values of the samples after multi-frequency ultrasonic treatment was higher, but attention should be paid to the negative influence of the hydroxyl radical generated by the multi-frequency ultrasound.  相似文献

We present sufficient conditions for the stability of the nonautonomous difference system , kZ+, with m?1, when the (n×n)-matrices Aj(⋅) are slowly varying coefficients. The proposed approach is based on the generalization of the “freezing” method for ordinary differential equations. Despite the opportunity to manipulate the water freezing via superhydrophobic materials, their commercial use for passive icing protection is still questioned, since the combined effect of surface morphology, air cushion arrangement, roughness, chemistry and film thickness on the icephobic properties of a given non-wettable solid remains unexplored. This article addresses the existing research gaps by studying the ice nucleation dynamics at the contact line of various superhydrophobic soot-based surfaces, potentially applicable in cryobiology for enhancing the existing cryopreservation technologies. We examine the freezing time and freezing temperature of water droplets settled on three groups of soot coatings with divergent morphochemical features, adjusted by modifying the samples with alcohol, fluorocarbon and/or silver hydrogen fluoride. Our results demonstrate the appearance of a new “contour” freezing mode, where the droplet shell crystallizes simultaneously with the contact interface, whilst the soot's chemical bonds along with some of its physical characteristics govern the ice formation.  相似文献

通过对新疆喀什地区12处天然盐渍土室内基本性质试验分析,选取典型天然盐渍土,在开放系统中进行反复冻融循环条件下的试验研究。研究了天然盐渍土在多次冻融循环时的水分和盐分迁移规律及强度变化特征。试验结果表明:经多次冻融循环,低液限粘土试样水分重分布与盐分重分布有很大的一致性,水分和盐分自下而上迁移;试样粘聚力自下而上线形减小,内摩擦角呈s形分布。含砂低液限粘土试样冻融循环过程中,易溶盐均随水分向冷端面迁移,离子剖面呈现中间大两端小的趋势;试样粘聚力呈反s形分布,内摩擦角均呈s形分布。  相似文献

Similarity solutions for a mathematical model for thawing in a saturated semi-infinite porous medium is considered when change of phase induces a density jump and a heat flux condition of the type is imposed on the fixed face x=0. Different cases depending on physical parameters are analysed and the explicit solution is obtained if and only if an inequality for the thermal coefficient q 0 is verified. An improvement for the existence of a similarity solution for the same free boundary problem with a constant temperature on the fixed face x=0 is also obtained. Sommario. Vengono considerate soluzioni di similarità per un modello matematico di disgelo di un mezzo poroso saturo semi-infinito allorquando il cambiamento di fase induce un salto di densità ed una condizione di flusso di calore del tipo viene imposta sulla faccia fissa x=0. Si analizzano differenti casi dipendenti da parametri fisici e la soluzione esplicita viene ottenuta se e solo se risulta verificata una diseguaglianzo per il coefficiente termico q 0. Si ottiene altresi un miglioramento della condizione di esistenza di una soluzione di similarità per lo stesso problema al contorno libero con temperatura costante sulla faccia fissa x=0.  相似文献
