Conduction pumping is appropriate way for liquid pumping due to its benefits like being noise free and easy controlling. In the present work fully developed falling film flow in the presence of conduction pumps has been experimentally investigated. Two different arrangements were selected and Transformer oil was used. Results indicated that, applying electric field would decrease thickness of falling film in wide range of Re number. The variation of wave's frequency and velocity regarding to Re number is also presented and compared for arrangements. Conduction pumps increased wave's frequency at low Re numbers conversely decreased it at high Re numbers.  相似文献

An investigation is made of flow of an electrically conducting falling liquid film over a smooth vertical surface taking Hall effects into account, the liquid being permeated by a transverse magnetic field. Consideration of Hall current into the flow indicates a similarity between the flow of a rotating liquid and that due to the non-rotating system in presence of Hall currents. Discussion has been made for electrically conducting falling film in presence of cross-flow due to hall effect in non-rotating system.  相似文献

Two-dimensional gravity-driven film flows along a substrate with rectangular corrugations are studied numerically by using Finite Volume Method. The volume of fluid (VOF) method is utilized to capture the evolution of free surfaces. The film flows down an inclined plate are simulated to validate the numerical implementation of the present study. Results obtained indicate that the phase shift between the surface wave and the wall corrugation increases as the Reynolds number. The parametric studies on the interesting resonant phenomenon indicate that the peak Reynolds numbers increase as the raise of the wall depth or the decline of the inclination angle. The dependence of the flow fields is analyzed on the Reynolds numbers and wall depth in details. It is found that the vortical structures in the steady flows, either produced by the interaction between capillary wrinkling and inertia, or by the rectangular geometry, are closely related to the remarkable deformation of the free surfaces. This conclusion is also confirmed by the transient flow development of two typical simulations, i.e., flows in capillary–inertial regime and in inertial regime.  相似文献

Spiral wound heat exchanger (SWHE) relying on falling film evaporation and boiling is often used for FLNG. The performance of SWHE can be impacted strongly by the motion of the FLNG caused by the wave and typhoon. The falling film characteristics of SWHE outside circular tube are studied experimentally and numerically by a visualization experimental device based on the high-speed camera and a numerical model based on the dynamic grid. The results show that the wave crest of the liquid film moves to the titled side under offshore conditions. The evolution process of falling film flow pattern outside circular tube with the tilt angle of 9° can be divided into four stages: droplet formation and migration, liquid column formation and migration, liquid column coalescence, liquid sheet formation. A correlation permitting the prediction of the falling film flow pattern outside circular tube and the other one permitting the prediction of the average film thickness of circular tube are developed respectively based on the experimental and numerical data.  相似文献

Following the seminal work of Xi on the definition of fuzzy ideal in BCI-algebras, three new kinds of definitions of fuzzy ideal of BCI-algebras are proposed. First, by the use of the relations between fuzzy points and fuzzy sets, the definition of a (s,t]-fuzzy ideals of BCI-algebras is introduced. The acceptable nontrivial concepts obtained in this manner are the - fuzzy ideals and -fuzzy ideals. Second, based on the concept of falling shadow, a theoretical approach of fuzzy ideal is established and the fuzzy ideal based on t-norm is proposed. Finally, by the use of the implication operators of fuzzy logic, an R-fuzzy ideals is proposed and relations between the (s,t]-fuzzy ideals and R-fuzzy ideals are discussed. *Foundation Item:Supported by NNSF of China(60274016). A 2-D theoretical model was derived to present the temperature distribution of falling liquid films flowing over a vertical heated/cooled plate with constant temperature. And the temperature gradients for different flow rates and fluids were also discussed for different liquid films. The temperature distributions for liquid films of water, ethanol aqueous solutions and glycerol aqueous solutions were experimentally investigated with a sensitive thermal imaging system. It is found that the surface temperature of a film flowing over a vertical heated solid plate has a characteristic relationship with the film flow distance. A lower flow rate of the film or a higher temperature of the wall generally leads to a higher surface temperature in the film inception. For films of glycerol aqueous solutions under the same heating conditions, a lower glycerol concentration causes a higher surface temperature of the film, due to the decrease of the liquid viscosity, whereas the ethanol concentration is found to have little influence on the temperature distribution of the film surface. Comparisons of the experimental data and the theoretical model show that the model can adequately describe the surface temperature distribution of a heated falling liquid film.  相似文献

利用介观模拟的耗散粒子动力学法, 对纺丝射流稳定直线段区域进行变电场模拟, 并以三维的射流路径呈现出来. 研究了不同控制频率下的变电场对聚合物分子链的运动情况、 射流直径及下落行为的影响. 结果表明, 与稳定电场相比, 周期性改变电场能够有效提高分子链的拉伸, 使射流直径减小, 较低的控制频率能够加速射流的下落, 从而获得较细的纤维.  相似文献

Steady film flow along a vertical wall with isolated step changes is studied numerically for Reynolds numbers Re ∼ O(10−3–102) and capillary numbers Ca ∼ O(10−2–101). The lengthscale of free surface capillary features upstream of a step-in or step-out decreases uniformly with Re and switches from a −1/3 to a −1/2 power-law dependence on Ca. The height of the capillary features first grows with Re, but eventually diminishes when inertia forces overpower capillary forces. Simultaneously, the key dynamics move from upstream to downstream of the step, and switch from capillary arrest to inertial re-directioning of the falling liquid. The latter mechanism involves a low-pressure region originating from the edge of the step. At a step-out, a new free surface feature appears with increasing Re, which is caused by liquid overshoot in the horizontal direction and is restrained initially by capillary and subsequently by inertial forces. Simple scaling arguments are shown to predict many of the above characteristics.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the flow of a dilute suspension of monosized spheroids past a sphere placed at the centerline of a cylindrical tube. The suspension is modeled by the transversely isotropic fluid model and the numerical solution is obtained by a time-dependent boundary element method. No steady-state solution to the problem was found. However, the amplitude of the long-time oscillations in the drag force on the sphere is only about 1% of its mean value at a solid volume concentration of 0.01 and an aspect ratio of 10 for the spheroids. The initial orientation of the microstructure has a small effect on the drag force: it can give rise to a ±1 % variation in the drag force at large time.  相似文献
