Complementarity problems of this nature arise, for example, from the minimization of certain quadratic functions subject to upper and lower bounds on the variables. Two least-element characterizations of solutions to the above linear complementarity problem are established first. Next, a new and direct method to solve this class of problems, which depends on the idea of least-element solution is presented. and relations which feature in our experiences. Richard Heck has recently argued that the phenomenon of illusory experience
provides us with conclusive reasons to reject this view. In this paper, I examine Heck’s argument, I explain why I think that
Bill Brewer’s conceptualist response to it is ineffective, and I then outline an alternative conceptualist response which
I myself endorse. My argument turns on the fact that both Heck, in constructing his objection to conceptualism, and Brewer,
in responding to it, miss a crucial distinction between perceptual demonstrative concepts of objects, on the one hand, and
perceptual demonstrative concepts of properties, on the other.

Entanglement of quantum states is absolutely essential for modern quantum sciences and technologies. It is natural to extend the notion of entanglement to quantum observables dual to quantum states. For quantum states, various separability criteria have been proposed to determine whether a given state is entangled. In this Letter, we propose a separability criterion for specific quantum effects (binary observables) that can be regarded as a dual version of the Bell–Clauser–Horne–Shimony–Holt (Bell–CHSH) inequality for quantum states. The violation of the dual version of the Bell–CHSH inequality is confirmed by using IBM's cloud quantum computer. As a consequence, the violation of our inequality rules out the maximal tensor product state space, that satisfies information causality and local tomography. As an application, we show that an entangled observable which violates our inequality is useful for quantum teleportation. 相似文献

本文研究了用X-射线荧光光谱法测定密闭鼓风炉粗锌中铅、锌、铁和镉等元素,样品从炉前取出后铸成一定形状,被测表面经抛光后直接测定,不经化学处理。用经验系数法校正基体效应。用人工模拟制备标准,其浓度与X-射线强度的线性相关系数均在0.98以上,标准偏差小于0.0056;相对标准偏差小于2.41%。测定结果与化学结果相符。 相似文献

A strategy for ensuring that measurements of ten common contaminants found in soils from former gasworks are of optimum quality
over long timescales is described. In particular, the performance of laboratories in applying validated measurement methods
in both small- and large-scale inter-laboratory trials over a 5-year period is assessed. It is shown that a production engineering
concept, the experience curve, has a significant influence on the quality of some of the measurements made and that this concept
can be used to model the performance of laboratories. Complexity of the measurement procedure and familiarity of analysts
with the measurement operations are suggested as the main drivers of method error. The implications of the achievable quality
of measurement on the costs of land re-development and on confidence in the quality of the rejuvenated land are discussed.
