Synthesis, characterization, in vitro cytotoxicity and anti-inflammatory activity of palladium(II) complexes with tertiary phosphines and heterocyclic thiolates: Crystal structure of [PdC28H19N8PS2]

The new four-coordinated mononuclear palladium(II) complexes 1-9 with chelating heterocyclic thiolates and tertiary phosphines with general formula [Pd(L)_nCl(R′R₂P)] (L = Pym2SH (pyrimidine-2-thiolate), Pur6SH (purine-6-thiolate), Py2SH (pyridine-2-thiolate), R₃P = PPh₃, P(o-tolyl)₃, PPh₂Cl), n = 1, 2) have been synthesized by the direct reaction of [PdCl₂(R′R₂P)₂] with polyfunctional heterocyclic thiolates which display a wide variety of coordinations. These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and multinuclear (¹H, ¹³C and ³¹P) NMR. The X-ray diffraction study of non-ionic compound 5 showed that the thiolate acts as unidentate and that the chelating (-N,S) ligand adopts a slightly distorted square planar geometry around the palladium atom. In vitro the anti-inflammatory inhibition of compounds 1-9 was 10-15% greater than that of the standard drug Declofenac. Compounds 1 and 4 showed mostly a moderate to low cytotoxicity against seven human tumor cell lines whereas compound 3 was somewhat more active.

A new bibenzyl derivative 1, named 2-（4＇＇-hydroxybenzy1）-3-（3＇-hydroxyphenethy1）-5-methoxy-cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4- dione, and two known stilbenoids （2, 3） were isolated from the tubers of Pleione bulbocodioides （Franch.） Rolfe. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.

A novel phenanthro[2,3-b]furan 1,named(3-hydroxy-9-(4′-hydroxy-3′-methoxypheny1)-11-methoxy-5,6,9,10-tetrahydro- phenanthro[2,3-b]furan-10-yl)methyl acetate,and two known phenolic compounds were isolated from the tubers of Pleione bulbocodioides(Franch.)Rolfe.Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.

<正>Azalomycin F_(4a) 2-ethylpentyl ester,a new 36-membered macrocyclic lactone antibiotic,was isolated from mangrove actinomycete Streptomyces sp.211726.Its structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data.The compound showed broad-spectrum antifungal activity and moderate cytotoxicity against human colon tumor cell HCT-116.     

New metallocene-bridged cyclodextrin dimer: A stable derivative of the antitumor drug titanocene dichloride and its potent cytotoxity against human breast cancer (MCF-7) cells

A novel cyclodextrin dimer bridged with titanocene moiety, titanocene di[mono[6-deoxy-6-(2-(thio-1,2-dicyane ethylenylthio)ethyl thio-1,2-dicyane ethylenylthio)]-β-cyclodextrin] (6), has been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, UV spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, MALDI-TOF MS spectrum, ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy. Especially, its potent cytotoxity against Human Breast Cancer (MCF-7) has also been studied.
