We present a simplified relativistic configuration interaction method (SRCI), by which all the energy levels and oscillator strengths in each transition array can be calculated. There exist generalized quasi-sum relations for the calculated oscillator strengths in the relevant transition arrays by the SRCI and by an unresolved transition array model (UTA). Based on UTA and the detailed configuration accounting (DCA), with a fully relativistic treatment incorporated with the quantum defect theory, the X-ray absorption spectra for any middle- and high-Z plasmas or composite plasmas can be calculated with much less computational efforts. The gross features of calculated spectra by DCA-UTA are in agreement with the relevant experimental measurements, except some detailed structures in some narrow spectral ranges. Such detailed structures can be calculated by SRCI incorporated with DCA-UTA. As an illustrative example, the absorption spectra of Ge plasmas are calculated by DCA-UTA-SRCI and are in agreement with the experimental opacity data. Therefore, the theoretical method (DCA-UTA-SRCI) verified by experimental measurements will not only be a basic tool to provide “precision” opacity data for the inertial confinement fusion research (ICF) and studies in stellar physics but also can be used to analyze the relevant diagnostic measurements for ICF plasmas.  相似文献

Summary The calculation of electronically excited states with the internally contracted multiconfiguration-reference configuration interaction (CMRCI) method is discussed. A straightforward method, in which contracted functions for all states are included in the basis, is shown to be very accurate and stable even in cases of narrow avoided crossings. However, the expense strongly increases with the number of states. A new method is proposed, which employs different contracted basis sets for each state, and in which eigensolutions of the Hamiltonian are found using an approximate projection operator technique. The computational effort for this method scales only linearly with the number of states. The two methods are compared for various applications.Dedicated in honor of Prof. Klaus Ruedenberg  相似文献

A cumulative selection procedure for choosing configuration functions for inclusion in CI calculations is described. The objective of the method is to obtain equal energy loss, relative to unselected calculations, for different states and different regions of the potential surface. Results obtained from calculations on the BH molecule indicate an overall advantage in comparison to the threshold selection procedure, particularly with regard to molecular geometry changes.  相似文献

Using the canonical problem of N separate electron pairs, theN dependence of approximate multireference CI schemes is analyzed. When the DCI is taken as multireference space, the second order Quasi Degenerate Many Body Perturbation Theory (QD(MB)PT) gives twice the expected correction, while the CIPSI algorithm gives 66% of it, and the MRDCI a vanishing part of it. A modified QDPT effective hamiltonian, and a combination of CIPSI and QDPT algorithms seem to give better trends.  相似文献

Summary The conformation and relative configuration of [1-(2H-azirin-2-yl)alkyl]phosphonates (2) has been established by thorough investigation of some characteristic representatives of the series by1H,13C,15N, and31P NMR spectroscopy. It is shown that the chemical shift of the proton located to the phosphonate group can be used as a criterion for the discrimination and stereochemical assignment of diastereoisomers. With P(CH3)3 as the probe molecule adsorbed on titanium silicalite (TS-1) zeolite, the special and important role of T12 site in MFI-type zeolite was clearly elucidated. There are altogether three active sites present in TS-1 zeolite with Ti at the T12 site. Owing to the preferential adsorption of probe molecules on the first Brönsted acidic site, the Ti12 center will probably fail to show Lewis acidity. The ionic [HP(CH3)3]+ species can be stabilized by the first or second Brönsted acidic site, with the former energetically favored. The latter was formed through the transfer of the ionic [HP(CH3)3]+ species from the first to the second Brönsted acidic site.  相似文献
