Immobilized Catalysts for Iridium‐Catalyzed Allylic Amination: Rate Enhancement by Immobilization

The first immobilized catalyst for Ir‐catalyzed asymmetric allylic aminations is described. The catalyst is a cationic (π‐allyl)Ir complex bound by cation exchange to an anionic silica gel support. Preparation of the catalyst is facile, and the supported catalyst displayed considerably enhanced activity compared with the parent homogeneous catalyst. Up to 43 consecutive amination runs were possible in recycling experiments.     

Derivatization of 1-phenyl substituted 4-amino-2-benzazepin-3-ones: evaluation of Pd-catalyzed coupling reactions

Several Pd-catalyzed reactions were explored to further functionalize the bromo-substituted 4-amino-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-2-benzazepin-3-one scaffold (Aba). We report in this paper suitable reaction conditions for Suzuki, Buchwald-Hartwig, and Heck reactions. The substitution pattern of the starting aminobenzazepinone turned out to be crucial for the success of these transition metal-catalyzed reactions, which often required modifications of standard literature procedures. The Pd-catalyzed methods provide access to novel substitution patterns of the Aba scaffold.     

Stereoselective migration of sterically hindered organoboranes in cyclic and acyclic systems. A stereoselective allylic C-H activation reaction

The thermal migration of cyclic and acyclic organoboranes were studied. In most cases, a stereoselective 1,2-dyotropic migration was observed, allowing the stereocontrol of three contiguous chiral centers. Scope and limitations of this thermal migration are presented.     

Enantiospecific synthesis of isomers of AES, a new environmentally friendly chelating agent

Three four-step enantiospecific syntheses of different diastereomers of AES, a new biodegradable chelating agent, are described. The stereocenters in each of the isomers are accessible from l- and d-malic and aspartic acids.     

Free radical-mediated vinyl amination: a mild, general pyrrolidinyl enamine synthesis

The complete scope of free radical-mediated vinyl amination is described, using 5-exo-trig cyclizations of vinyl radicals to the nitrogen of azomethines. The focus is primarily on N,N-dialkyl enamines since their nucleophilicity renders them the most challenging enamines to synthesize using redox conditions. These studies establish several encouraging precedents for the broader application of this strategy.     

Synthesis of spherical and hemispherical sugar‐containing poly(ornithine) dendrimers

A novel sugar‐containing poly(ornithine) dendrimer is synthesized for possible antigen delivery and related applications. The dendrimer contains an ornithine dendron as interior scaffolding and oligosaccharides on the periphery, which provide an attachment site for a peptide antigen. Maltose or lactose is bound to both hemispherical and spherical poly(ornithine) dendrimer generation 3 (G3) by reductive amination between its reducing end and the peripheral amino group of the dendrimer using a borane‐pyridine complex in a buffer solution at 50 °C. The degree of substitution of sugar is changed by varying the molar ratio of sugar to dendrimer. When the surface of spherical poly(ornithine) dendrimer G3 is modified by binding β‐alanine to the 16 amino groups, highly substituted maltose‐ or lactose‐β‐alanine‐poly(ornithine) dendrimer G3 is obtained in high yield after 7 days of reaction. The structures of these sugar‐containing dendrimers are characterized by NMR and matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry analyses. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Synthesis of substituted 5-aminomethyl tetrahydro-isoquinolines and dihydro-isoindoles

The synthesis of ten substituted aminomethylene tetrahydro-isoquinolines is described, proceeding in eight steps from 5-hydroxyisoquinoline via reductive amination of N-Boc tetrahydro-isoquinoline 5-carboxaldehyde. Likewise, reductive amination was used to prepare four substituted dihydro-isoindoles from the corresponding aldehyde. The dihydro-isoindole ring system was conveniently accessed via a 2+2+2 cycloaddition reaction.     

N-Amino Derivatives of Condensed Imidazole Systems

The previously unknown 1-amino- and 3-aminonaphtho[1,2-d]imidazoles, 1-aminonaphtho[2,3-d]imidazole, 1-aminophenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole and the N-amino-N'-methylimidazolium picrates corresponding to them have been obtained by direct amination of a series of condensed imidazoles with O-picrylhydroxylamine. An X-ray structural investigation of 1-amino-3-methylnaphtho[1,2-d]imidazolium picrate showed that, in difference to 1-aminobenzimidazolium salts, a conformation exists in it in which the hydrogen atoms of the N-NH₂ group are directed to the side of the meso carbon atom.     

N-取代乙醇胺对4-氟-1-酰基苯的选择性胺化反应

研究了4-氟-1-酰基苯和N-取代乙醇胺在酰胺类溶剂或不加溶剂中反应, 在不需要金属催化剂和另外加碱的条件下选择性地得到胺化产物, 实验操作简单, 符合S_NAr取代机理. 一系列羟乙基胺基酰基苯产物均经过元素分析(HRMS), IR, MS和NMR的测定.     

铝交联皂石的合成和表征及催化性能

用XRD、化学分析、IR、MASNMR、TPD等手段表征了合成皂石及其铝交联物的结构。结果表明:皂石的交联密度与四面体层电荷和交联条件(Al/土比)有关。在乙醇氨化反应中,交联皂石显示了较好的催化活性和选择性。皂石的交联密度与液相产物分布的关系表明层柱材料对此反应具有择形催化作用。醇氨化反应可能是在吸附态NH_3和气相醇分子间进行的。
