Zusammenfassung Die Titration von Al mit NaF-Maßlösung kann mit einer Glaselektrode indiziert werden. Bestimmungen in Messing und Stahl sind beschrieben und eine allgemeine Arbeitsvorschrift wird gegeben. Die relative Standardabweichung liegt zwischen ± 0,2 und ±1,7%. Eisen stört, kann aber in Mengen 100 mg durch Hydrazinhydrochlorid ausgeschaltet werden. Ca stört nicht bis zu einem Verhältnis Al:Ca = 12.

Summary Titrations of Al with NaF standard solutions can be indicated with the glass electrode. Determinations in brass and steel are described and a general procedure is given. The relative standard deviation is between ± 0.2 and ±1.7%. Iron interferes, but can be eliminated in amounts 100 mg by addition of hydrazine hydrochloride. Ca does not interfere up to a ratio of Al : Ca = 12.

In the present work we are studying the influence of pulse duration (nanosecond (ns) and femtosecond (fs)) at λ = 248 nm on the laser-induced plasma parameters and the quantitative analysis results for elements such as Sn, Zn and Pb, in different types of bronze alloys adopting LIBS in ambient atmosphere. Binary (Sn–Cu), ternary (Sn–Zn–Cu or Sn–Pb–Cu) and quaternary (Sn–Zn–Pb–Cu) reference alloys characterized by a chemical composition and metallurgical features similar to those used in Roman times, were employed in the study. Calibration curves, featuring linear regression coefficients over 98%, were obtained for tin, lead and zinc, the minor elements in the bronze alloys (using the internal standardization method) as well as for copper, the major element. The effects of laser pulse duration and energy on laser-induced plasma parameters, namely the excitation temperature and the electron density have been studied in our effort to optimize the analysis. Finally, LIBS analysis was carried on three real metal objects and the spectra obtained have been used to estimate the type and elemental composition of the alloys based on the calibration curves produced with the reference alloys. The results obtained are very useful in the future use of portable LIBS systems for in situ qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of bronze artifacts in museums and archaeological sites.  相似文献

The investigations on structure and micro-chemical composition of archaeological metal alloys are needed in archaeometry. The aim of this study is devoted both to acquire information about their provenance and production technology, and to improve our understanding about the corrosion processes. In this paper we present the study of the corrosion phenomena of bronze samples, laboratory-made according to binary, ternary and quaternary alloys typical of Roman archaeometallurgical production through an integrated methodology based on the use of non or micro invasive physical techniques. Among the analysed samples, two were artificially aged through burial in the archaeological site of Tharros, along the west coast of Sardinia (Italy). The corrosion products, typical of the bronzes in archaeological sites near the sea, have been characterized by non invasive and micro-destructive measurements. In particular, the corrosion patinas were examined through optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and microanalysis, X-ray fluorescence and laser ablation spectroscopy. The use of integrated technologies allowed us to determine both the elemental composition and surface morphology of the patina, highlighting the correlation between patina nature and chemical composition of the burial context. Moreover, data obtained by the laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy along the depth profile on the samples, have yielded information about the stratigraphic layers of corrosion products and their growth. Finally, the depth profiles allowed us to verify both the chemical elements constituting the patina, the metal ions constituting the alloy and the occurrence of migration phenomena from bulk to the surface.  相似文献

An organic binder was identified in the painted fragments from the Canaanite palace of Tel Kabri, Israel. Recently dated to the late 18th century B.C.E. by 14C, Tel Kabri is the most ancient of the Eastern Mediterranean sites in which Aegean style paintings have been found. The application of pigments was suspected to be using an organic binding medium, particularly for the Egyptian Blue pigment. Samples of blue paint were examined using evolved gas analysis‐mass spectrometry (EGA‐MS) in order to overcome the analytical challenges imposed by highly degraded aged proteinaceous materials. Egg was identified as the binder based on the presence of hexadecanonitrile and octadecanonitrile, confirming the use of a secco painting technique. Lysozyme C from Gallus gallus was detected by proteomics analysis, confirming the presence of egg. To our knowledge, this is the earliest use of egg as a binder in Aegean style wall paintings.  相似文献

Inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) was used to determine the bulk metal elemental composition of 62 modern bronze sculptures cast in Paris in the first half of the twentieth century from the collections of The Art Institute of Chicago and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. As a result, a comprehensive survey of the alloy composition of the sculptures of many prominent European artists of the early twentieth century is presented here for the first time. The sculptures in this study consist of predominantly copper with two main alloying elements (zinc and tin). By plotting the concentrations of these two elements (zinc and tin) against each other for all the sculptures studied, three clusters of data become apparent: (A) high-zinc brass; (B) low-zinc brass; (C) tin bronze. These clusters correlate to specific foundries, which used specific casting methods (sand or lost wax) that were influenced by individual preferences and technical skills of the foundry masters. For instance, the high-zinc brass alloys (with the highest levels of tin and zinc and the lowest melting temperature) correspond to most of the Picasso sculptures, correlate with the Valsuani foundry, and are associated with the most recent sculptures (post-WWII) and with the lost-wax casting method. By expanding the ICP-OES database of objects studied, these material correlations may become useful for identifying, dating, or possibly even authenticating other bronzes that do not bear foundry marks. 拉曼光谱分析青铜器本体中锈蚀产物   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
青铜器锈蚀研究能够揭示出青铜器腐蚀机理, 为制定科学的保护措施提供重要的参考资料。目前, 青铜器锈蚀研究主要从其外部锈蚀产物入手, 通过锈蚀组成结构分析, 探讨其腐蚀机理。本文选择了保存较好青铜器本体样品进行了内部锈蚀情况研究。首先采用金相制备技术, 通过打磨、抛光和超声清洗处理后, 制备了断面相组织形态清晰的24件秦早期青铜器青铜本体样品。然后利用共聚焦显微拉曼光谱仪对样品夹杂物进行了光谱学研究, 发现其物相为PbCO3和PbO及Cu2O, 都属于常见的青铜合金腐蚀产物。样品金相组织中圆形或者大面积无规则亮灰色区域为Cu2O, 反映出青铜器表面不仅易于形成一定厚度Cu2O锈蚀层, 在相界之间也容易发生氧化反应生成Cu2O, 存在合金内部和外部同时发生腐蚀生成赤铜矿锈蚀的情况。此外, 拉曼光谱分析显示黑灰色物质主要为铅腐蚀产物——PbCO3和PbO, 反映出铅元素的腐蚀过程: Pb→PbO→PbCO3。在铸造态青铜合金组织中, 铅一般呈近圆形颗粒状态分布在相界之间。青铜器内部分布的铅颗粒在土壤埋藏环境中会发生氧化反应生成PbO, 再与地下水中溶解的CO2-3发生化学反应生成比较稳定的PbCO3。结果表明: 外界腐蚀因素(水、溶解氧和碳酸根等)能够通过合金中相界间通道进入青铜器内部, 在相界表面逐步发生反应形成以金属氧化物为主的腐蚀产物。  相似文献

青铜模拟熔铸实验表明,利用ICP-AES法测定的青铜中亲铜元素的成分数据,通过聚类分析,可以较好地区分不同产地的铜矿料及其青铜产物。文章将这一方法具体应用于盘龙城商代遗址和鄂州出土青铜器的微量元素数据的分析,以考察其可行性和应用价值。多元统计分析结果显示:青铜模拟熔铸实验所得结论,亦可应用于盘龙城和鄂州青铜器铜矿料的区分,进一步验证了微量元素示踪古代青铜器铜矿料来源的可行性。  相似文献

The paper is devoted to investigating the formation of CuCl and regenerated Cu crystals on bronze. Electrochemical behaviour of bronze in simulated anoxic edaphic media and occluded cell (O.C.) solutions was studied with cycle voltammetry (CV) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Within potential range of −800 to +800 mV, oxidation occurred was largely a process in which Cu is oxidized to CuCl and the reduction process was a reverse of it. An atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to observe the morphology of CuCl crystals, regenerated Cu crystals and corrosion interface at nm level. The deposition of regenerated Cu on simulated archaeological bronzes was simulated under experimental conditions for the first time. CuCl could be thoroughly reduced to pure Cu if reduction time interval were sufficiently prolonged. This provided a theoretical and experimental basis for getting rid of harmful CuCl patina from archaeological bronzes with electrochemical means.  相似文献

The application of solid state electrochemistry techniques for dating archaeological strata using lead‐containing bronze coins is described. The proposed methodology was applied to samples coming from the Roman archaeological site of Magna Mater Temple (Rome, Italy) occurring in different strata dating back between the second half and the end of the 4th century A.D. and the 20th century. The voltammetric signatures of copper and lead corrosion products in contact with aqueous acetate buffer, as well as the catalytic effects produced on the hydrogen evolution reaction, were used for establishing the age of different strata and dating coins belonging to unknown age. Voltammetric data were consistent with a theoretical approximation based on a potential rate law for the corrosion process.  相似文献
