It is thought that the extensive industrial use of arsenic, gallium and indium, which have applications as the materials for III–V semiconductors, will increase human exposure to these compounds in the near future. We have undertaken the development of new biological indicators for assessing exposure to these elements. Element-specific alterations in protein synthesis patterns were expected to occur following exposure to arsenic compounds. We examined alterations in protein synthesis in primary cultures of rat kidney proximal tubule epithelial cells by sodium arsenite, gallium chloride and indium chloride, utilizing two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. After incubation with the chemicals for 20 h, newly synthesized proteins were labeled with [35S]methionine. A protein with a molecular weight (Mr) of 30 000 was markedly induced on exposure to 10 μM arsenite or 300 μM gallium chloride, and synthesis of proteins with Mr values of 85 000, 71 000, 65 000, 51 000, 38 000 and 28 000 were also increased by exposure to arsenite and gallium chloride. No significant changes were observed upon exposure to indium. Some of these increased proteins could be heat-shock proteins.  相似文献

The addition of secondary and primary amines to ethyl (1-amino-9,10-anthraquinon-2-yl)propynoate affords an easily separable mixture of the corresponding ethyl 3-dialkylaminoor 3-alkylamino-3-(1-amino-9,10-anthraquinon-2-yl)acrylate and 3-dialkylamino- or 3-alkylaminonaphthol[2,3-h]quinoline-2(1H), 7,12-trione (in ∼4: 1 ratio). Intramolecular cyclization of the resulting substituted ethyl acrylates results in the formation of 4-dialkylaminoor 4-alkylamino-2-chlorinated pyridine rings. Subsequent nucleophilic substitution of the chlorine atom gives 2-functionalized 4-dialkylamino- or 4-alkylaminonaphtho[2,3-h]quinoline-7,12-diones. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Changes in the hybrid state of atomic orbitals of nitrogen and p-character of LEP, which occur under the effect of saturated hydrocarbon radicals and polar substituents in aliphatic amines, differ substantially. Therefore, the effect of the both substituents on the basicity constants of amines cannot be described by the single formal type of interaction. The anomalous changes in the basicity in the series of primary, secondary, and tertiary alkylamines, which are discussed in the literature, and the correlations pK BH+ = f(*) and G B = f(*) are, in fact, imaginary, because the alkyl radicals at the N atom do not manifest the electron-donor properties.  相似文献

Characterizing the diffusion properties of cortical tissue is complicated by intersubject variability in the relative locations of gyri and sulci. Here we extend methods of measuring the average diffusion properties of gyral and sulcal structures after they have been aligned to a common template of cortical surface anatomy. Diffusion tensor image (DTI) data were gathered from 82 young subjects and co-registered with high-resolution T1 images that had been inflated and co-registered to a hemispherically unified spherical coordinate system based on FreeSurfer. We analyzed fractional anisotropy (FA), mean diffusivity (MD) and the novel quantity of cortical primary diffusion direction (cPDD) at five surfaces parallel to the white/gray junction, spanning approximately 5 mm from the pial surface into white matter. FA increased with increasing depth, whereas MD and cPDD were reduced. There were highly significant and reliable regional differences in FA, MD and cPDD as well as systematic differences between cortical lobes and between the two hemispheres. The influence of nearby cortical spinal fluid (CSF), local cortical curvature and thickness, and sulcal depth was also investigated. We found that FA correlated significantly with cortical curvature and sulcal depth, while MD was strongly influenced by nearby CSF. The measurement of FA, MD and cPDD near the cortical surface clarifies the organization of fiber projections to and from the cortex.  相似文献

The DNA primary sequence is translated into “structure graph” based on classification of its four bases. Then the invariants, such as topological indices, are extracted from those graphic representations of DNA primary sequences, and used to calculate the similarities among the eleven species. From these similarities/dissimilarities the homologies can be revealed that they are in agreement with evolutionary relation satisfactorily.  相似文献

The characteristic connection of an almost hermitian structure is a hermitian connection with totally skew-symmetric torsion. The case of parallel torsion in dimension 6 is of particular interest. In this work, we give a full classification of the algebraic types of the torsion form, and, on the basis of this, undertake a systematic investigation into the possible geometries.
