The fantastic variation of the physical properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and their bundles under mechanical strain and hydrostatic pressure makes them promising materials for fabricating nanoscale electromechanical coupling devices or transducers. In this paper, we review the recent progress in this field, with much emphasis on our first-principles numerical studies on the structural and vibrational properties of the deformed CNTs under uniaxial and torsional strains, and hydrostatic pressure. The nonresonant Raman spectra of the deformed CNTs are also introduced, which are calculated by the first-principles calculations and the empirical bond polarizability model. 相似文献

南京大学理论物理学科有着悠久的历史,于20 世纪50 年代初由程开甲、徐躬耦、周衍柏、梁昆淼等老一代物理学家创立。程开甲在1952 年全国高等学校院系调整时,调入南京大学物理系任副教授,一直从事理论物理的教学和科研工作。他率先开展了热力学内耗理论研究,同时进行了能带论的布里渊区证明、结合能计算和FFI模型等理论研究工作。1959 年,他出版了中国第一本《固体物理学》专著,对我国固体物理的教学与科研起到了重要作用。之后,为支援国家的国防建设,程开甲调至国防科工委,担任了有关研制工程的领导工作,在核武器的研制和试验中作出了突出贡献。程开甲于1980 年当选为中国科学院学部委员,1985 年获国家科技进步奖特等奖,1999年被国家授予“两弹一星”功勋奖章,2013 年获国家最高科学技术奖。徐躬耦是我国著名核物理学家,他是南京大学物理系理论物理教研室的首任主任。1955 年,为国家西部高等教育事业的发展,他被调往兰州大学,先后担任兰州大学物理系系主任、兰州大学副校长和校长等职位,为兰州大学物理系和现代物理系(原子能系)的建设作出了很大贡献。1986 年,他回到南京大学物理系理论物理教研室工作。他著有三卷集《原子核理论(核力) 》,《原子核理论(核结构与核衰变部分) 》和《原子核理论(核反应部分) 》等著作,其中的第二卷和第三卷荣获国家教委优秀教材一等奖。 相似文献

The extended Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model is used to study the electronic energy levels and molecular structures for two kinds of isomers of C58X2(X=B, or N). In each case we obtain two sets of stable solutions. For C58X2 (1, 2), both sets of solutions are found to be reasonable, indicating two different phases. For C58X2(1, 60 ), only one set of solutions which satisfy the central inversion symmetry is physically reasonable. 相似文献

Using the Lennard-Jones interaction potential between the impurity atom and carbon atom, we have studied the dependence of in-tube impurity doping on the radius of a single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT), as well as its helicity. The obtained results show that the radius of the most stably doped SWNT is different for different kinds of impurity atoms. This is useful for producing the required doped SWNT. In addition, it is found that the helicity of tube has a strong effect on the potential energy of the atoms doped in the SWNT. 相似文献

We numerically study the dynamic behaviour of coupled chaotic oscillators in a so-called semiquantum chaotic system in which one is classical and the other is quantum mechanical.Fourier spectra of the classical oscillator and the ground-state wavefunction of the quantum part have been investigated,when small pulse perturbations are applied.It is found that semiquantum chaos can also be successfully controlled by the nonfeedback method. 相似文献
