Analogue switch for very low-voltage applications   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A new analogue switch suitable for operation at very low-voltage supply in a standard CMOS technology is presented. The proposed switch is based on 'quasi-floating-gate' transistors and has a simple and compact structure. For illustrative purposes, two sample-and-hold circuits operating from a single supply voltage close to the threshold voltage of a transistor, and using the proposed technique, are presented. Experimental results obtained from prototypes in a 1.5 /spl mu/m CMOS technology are provided.  相似文献

A new dual-quantisation sigma-delta modulator is proposed, which introduces an additional feedback path in the input of the second integrator. In this way, unlike other dual-quantisation architectures, larger signal-to-noise ratios can be obtained by means of aggressive noise-shaping, like in a conventional multibit modulator. The proposed modulator is also shown to be more robust against non-idealities than other dual-quantisation architectures.  相似文献

This paper presents a scheme for the efficient implementation of a low supply voltage continuous-time high-performance CMOS current mirror with low input and output voltage requirements. This circuit combines a shunt input feedback and a regulated cascode output stage to achieve low input resistance and very high output resistance. It can be used as a high-precision current mirror in analog and mixed signal circuits with a power supply close to a transistor's threshold voltage. The proposed current mirror has been simulated and a bandwidth of 40 MHz has been obtained. An experimental chip prototype has been sent for fabrication and has been experimentally verified, obtaining 0.15-V input-output voltage requirements, 100-/spl Omega/ input resistance, and more than 200-M/spl Omega/ (G/spl Omega/ ideally) output resistance with a 1.2-V supply in a standard CMOS technology.  相似文献

The chemical shifts and several 19F–19F, 13C–19F and 1H–19F spin‐spin coupling constants (SSCSs) of eight 4,5,6,7‐tetraflurobenzazoles (three benzimidazoles, three benzimidazolinones and two indazoles) have been determined. The chemical shifts were discussed using gauge including atomic orbital‐density functional theory calculations taking into account solvent effects (polarizable continuum model) and, for the solid state, hydrogen bonds (clusters up to three molecules). A new class AB output stage for CMOS op-amps is proposed with simple and accurate quiescent current control using floating gate transistors. The proposed stage can be operated with a supply voltage close to a transistor's threshold voltage. Experimental results are provided showing a 15 MHz gain-bandwidth product when it is used as the second stage of an op-amp with 1.5 V supply voltage in a standard 0.8 m CMOS technology.  相似文献

Nowadays the electrical activity measured in tall objects has been widely characterized, but the collected data of lightning rods installed in buildings do not amount to enough to obtain reliable statistics. The measures stored at relatively few points are not representative of the different types of installations. Furthermore, the protection model applied for lightning air terminal installations is based on theoretical models. This paper describes the design of a micro-station to measure some lightning parameters in real lightning air terminal installations correlated to the nature of emplacement instead of triggering lightning or choosing points with a high number of lightning impacts.  相似文献

Receivers are being digitized in a quest for flexibility. Analog filters and programmable gain stages are being exchanged for digital processing at the price of a very challenging ADC. This paper presents an alternative solution where the filter and programmable gain functionality is integrated into a /spl Sigma//spl Delta/ ADC. The novel filtering ADC is realized by adding a high-pass feedback path to a conventional /spl Sigma//spl Delta/ ADC while a compensating low-pass filter in the forward path maintains stability. As such, the ADC becomes highly immune to interferers even if they exceed the maximum allowable input level for the wanted channel. As a consequence, the ADC input range can be programmed dynamically to the level of the wanted signal only. This results in an input-referred dynamic range of 89 dB in 1-MHz bandwidth and an intentionally moderate output signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio of 46-59 dB (depending on the programmed gain). The merged functionality enables a better overall power/performance balance for the receiver baseband. The design consumes less than 2 mW and active area is 0.14 mm/sup 2/ in a 0.18-/spl mu/m digital CMOS technology.  相似文献

This paper presents a new technique for programming SC circuits using a single time-multiplexed capacitor bank, achieving a significant reduction in capacitance area. Simulation and experimental results obtained with a programmable biquad low pass filter show the validity of the proposed method.Antonio Torralba was born in Seville, Spain. His research interests are in the design and modeling of low-voltage analog circuits, analog and mixed-signal design, analog to digital conversion, and electronic circuits and systems with application to control and communication.Alfredo Pérez Vega-Leal was born in Seville, Spain. He received the Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Seville, Seville, Spain, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. Since 1995, he has been with the Department of Electronic Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Seville, as research student and became an Associate Professor in 1999. His research interests are related to low-voltage low-power analog circuit design, A/D and D/A conversion.Ramón González Carvajal was born in Seville, Spain. He received the Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Seville, Seville, Spain, in 1995 and 1999, respectively. Since 1996, he has been with the Department of Electronic Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Seville, where he has been an Associate Professor (1996), and Professor (2002). He has published more than 100 papers in International Journals and Conferences. The current study focuses on the status of automation and mechanization in spectroscopy for analytical chemistry publications compiled during the period 1980–2006, in Analytical Abstracts. Flow injection analysis (FIA), sequential injection analysis (SIA), multicommutation, and monosegmented and segmented flow strategies were considered. For assessing the evolution of scientific productivity, the total number of publications concerned with the different methodologies was evaluated. In order to provide a picture of the state of the art of this field, the most important journals, the most active authors, and the most productive countries in the field of automation were evaluated in the period of the first years of this century.  相似文献
