Influence of pore diffusion on the rate of n-heptane conversion on a Pt/Al2O3 catalyst under reforming conditions

Under reforming conditions, the rate of n-heptane conversion on a large Pt/Al₂O₃ catalyst grain, in contrast to that in the kinetic region, depends on the hydrogen to hydrocarbon mole ratio. The rate equation for the reaction on a large grain agrees well with the experimental results obtained by a gradientless method under pressure.

Investigation of n-heptane conversion over Pt?Al2O3 catalysts under gradientless reforming conditions

The rates of the total and individual directions of n-heptane conversion in reforming over platinum-on-alumina catalysts were shown to be independent of dilution with hydrogen. They can be described by simple equations following from kinetic concepts in ideal adsorbed layers.

Hemispherical ion acoustic solitons

Hemispherical solitons are studied experimentally using a double-plasma device provided with a hemispherical dividing screen. Their properties are compared with those of spherical solitons and differ appreciably. Auxiliary pulses appear behind the soliton, each propagating faster than the soliton but eventually approaching the soliton speed     

Transients in switching a diode with a thin base

An analytical expression is obtained for the duration of the shelf which is observed when a diode with a limited base is switched from the forward to the reverse direction. The problem is solved for an arbitrary value of the recombination velocity at the nonrectifying contact.     

Nickel(II) and iron(II) complexes with 1-(2(4)-chlorophenyl)benzothiazolylformazans

Novel nickel(II) and iron(II) complexes with 1-(2(4)-chlorophenyl)benzothiazolylformazans L and L’ of the general formulas ML₂ and ML′₂ were obtained. According to X-ray diffraction data, the coordination polyhedron MN₆ is a distorted octahedron. This geometry of the coordination polyhedron is determined by the nature of the complexing metal.
