We discuss the concept of developing a millimeter-wave multielement matrix receiver on the basis of planar antennas with directly coupled low-barrier Schottky diodes. Three main problems are considered which involve choosing and developing a design of the planar antenna coupled with the low-barrier Schottky diode, optimizing the parameters of the low-barrier Schottky diodes for obtaining maximum sensitivity, and ensuring compact arrangement with weak mutual influence of the planar detectors in a two-dimensional array. We propose a design of the slot antenna with an active resistance of about 800 Ω at a resonant frequency of 94 GHz. The detection characteristics of diodes with the differential Schottky-barrier resistance in the range Rj = 0.4–1000 kΩ for a zero bias are studied experimentally. The mutual influence of the neighboring antennas is examined for developing the multielement radio-imaging system. The method to measure parameters of dielectric plates by placing them into the Fabry-Perot resonator is modified to provide, relative accuracies: for the resonance frequency of the plate 10–6; for the refractive index and the plate thickness 10–4–10–5; for the loss tangent 5%. Tje values of loss tangent which can be measured are from 10–6 to 10–1. The device calibration is performed by a gas frequency standard in 5–0,5 mm wavelength band.  相似文献

We describe the design of a superheterodyne receiver with a balanced monolithic integrated mixer and describe the technique and results of parameter measurements of the receiver and mixer over the frequency range 287–365 GHz. In the middle of this range, the double-band noise temperature of the receiver is 1500±50 K, while the double-band noise temperature and conversion loss of the mixer are 1250±50 K and 10±0.5 dB, respectively. The absorption profile of the N = 1− fine structure line of oxygen was recorded by a resonator spectrometer at a frequency range of 110-130 GHz at atmospheric pressure and different temperatures ranging from −21 °C up to +22 °C. Analysis of the observed line shape allowed determination of the temperature dependence of the line pressure broadening. The measured value of the temperature exponent is n = 0.74(5) for self-broadening. Consistency of the measurements is supported by simultaneous measurements of the line intensity, the line mixing parameter and the line center frequency, and by comparison of obtained values with previously known data.  相似文献
