Synthesis,electronic structure,and physicochemical characteristics of pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyridazinium

The interaction of 1-methallylpyrazoles with acetic or propionic anhydride in the presence of perchloric acid forms products of acylation at the double bond and subsequent heterocyclization — pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyridazinium salts — that are representatives of a new heteroaromatic system. Chemistry of 1,5-diketone derivatives. 1. Oxidation of 8a-methoxy-4a,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydrochromenes by monoperphthalic acid

2-(2-Oxo-3-hydroxy-1,3-diphenylpropyl)cyclohexanone, 2-(2,3-dioxo-1,3-diphenylpropyl)cyclohexanone, and 2-benzyl-7a-hydroxy-3-phenylperhydrobenzofuran are formed by the action of monoperphthalic acid on 8a-methoxy-2,4-diphenyl-4a,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydrochromene. Under analogous conditions, 4a-methoxy-10-phenyl-1,2,3,4, 4a,6,7,8,9,10a-decahydroxanthene forms 7a-hydroxy-3-phenyloctahydrobenzo[b]furan-2-spiro-1-cyclohexan-2-one and its dehydration product. The behavior of the compounds obtained toward acetic anhydride and a methanolic solution of HCl was studied. MINDO/3 calculation of the atom—Atom self- and mutual polarizabilities for a hydrocarbon series

A MINDO/3 calculation based on the Hartree—Fock perturbation theory gave the atom—atom self- and mutual polarizabilities of a series of hydrocarbons. Reactions of 1, 5-diketones

The Chichibabin pyridine synthesis with methylenedicyclohexanone and tricyclohexanolone has been studied. It has been shown that under the conditions of the synthesis tricyclohexanolone is previously isomerized into methylenedicyclohexanone. The reaction products are sym-octahydroacridine, 12-hydroxy-¹⁰-dodecahydroacridine, and 5-azabicyclo [8,4,0]tetradecane-6,11-dione. The latter two substances are the products of the conversion of the ¹⁰-dodecahydroacridine that arises as an intermediate.For part I, see [1].

Adiabatic Potential Energy Surface of the 1,2,3-Trifluorobenzene Cation-Radical

Ab initio study of the adiabatic potential energy surface (PES) for 1,2,3-trifluorobenzene cation-radical was carried out by the ROHF, UHF, MCSCF, MP2, and DFT (B3LYP) methods with the 6-31G* basis set. The PES in question is a pseudorotation surface at all calculation levels. The pseudorotation barrier height does not exceed 3.2 kcal/mol, suggesting a possibility for its manifestations in experimental EPR spectra.     

The structure and conductivity of thin composite films formed from nanodispersions of silver particles by the moving meniscus method

The formation processes, structure, geometric parameters, and conductivity are studied for thin composite films prepared from nanodispersions of silver particles with diameters smaller than 10 nm by the moving meniscus method. The thickness and conductivity of the films are determined as functions of the mass concentration of a precursor (AgNO₃) and the concentration (size) of silver nanoparticles. Some of these functions are nonmonotonic. The dependences of the conductivity on these parameters are found to have the character of a percolation transition. Heterogeneous crystallization of soluble components of the colloidal solutions on silver nanoparticles plays an essential role in the formation of the films.
