In conjugated polymers the optical excitation energy transfer is usually described as Forster-type hopping between so-called spectroscopic units. In the simplest approach using the point-dipole approximation the transfer rate is calculated based on the interaction between the transition dipoles of two spectroscopic units. In the present work we compare this approach with three others: The line-dipole approximation, the Coulomb integral between the transition densities, and a quantum-chemical calculation of the interacting dimer as entity. The latter two approaches are based on the semiempirical method ZINDO. The line-dipole approximation is an attractive compromise between computational effort and precision for calculations of the excitonic coupling in extended conjugated polymers.  相似文献

A formalism is presented for calculating exactsolutions of covariant inhomogeneous scalar and tensorwave equations whose source terms are arbitrary ordermultipoles on a curved background spacetime. The developed formalism is based on the theory ofthe higher-order fundamental solutions for wave equationwhich are the distributions that satisfy theinhomogeneous wave equation with the corresponding order covariant derivatives of the Dirac deltafunction on the right-hand side. Like the classicalGreen's function for a scalar wave equation, thehigher-order fundamental solutions contain a direct termwhich has support on the light cone as well as a tailterm which has support inside the light cone. Knowinghow to compute the fundamental solutions of arbitraryorder, one can find exact multipole solutions of wave equations on curved spacetimes. Wepresent complete recurrent algorithms for calculatingthe arbitrary-order fundamental solutions and the exactmultipole solutions in a form convenient for practical computations. As an example we apply thealgorithm to a massless scalar wave field on aparticular Robertson-Walker spacetime.  相似文献

The preparation of benzylated covalently cross-linked Sepharose 2B is described. Such gel was analyzed for its degree of substitution, and gels with three different degrees of substitution were used in chromatographic experiments with dextranase, alpha-amylase, lactate dehydrogenase, alpha-chymotrypsin and trypsin. Yields and chromatographic patterns for different eluting systems were determined. It was found that gradients combining an increase in ethylene glycol concentration with a decrease in salt concentration gave better results than did pure salt gradients. No denaturation was observed for dextranase or alpha-amylase, but the other enzymes tested were partly denatured. The most severe denaturation was observed for lactate dehydrogenase desorbed from the highest substituted gels, although the enzyme was highly active in the adsorbed state. The results and the use of amphophilic gels are discussed.  相似文献

The influence of environmental fluctuations (modeled as a multiplicative dichotomous noise) on predator–prey interaction is studied using a metapopulation model with N prey-subpopulations. Investigating the role that predator interference plays in the dynamics of such trophic systems, the Beddington functional response is considered. In case the growth rates of prey and predator are widely different, we obtain analytic results by a dynamical mean-field approximation. In some regions of the system parameters, variations of noise amplitude or correlation time can cause transitions of the mean field from a globally stable equilibrium to the stable limit cycle as well as in the opposite direction. The conditions for the occurrence of such a phenomenon are found and illustrated by phase diagrams. Implications of the results on the colored-noise-induced extinction of a predator population are also discussed.  相似文献

Conjugated polymers are becoming interesting materials for a range of optoelectronic applications. However, their often complex electronic and structural properties prevent establishment of straightforward property-function relationships. In this paper, we summarize recent results on the photophysics and excited state dynamics of conjugated polymers, in order to paint a picture of exciton formation, quenching, and generation of charge carriers.  相似文献

Holes burnt into the absorption spectrum of terrylene in hexadecane have quite unusual features: spectral diffusion behavior under thermal cycles shows a narrowing regime at very low temperatures (2-5 K) followed by a plateau region (up to about 13 K) and a broadening regime (T>13 K). Thermal line broadening (quasihomogeneous linewidth) shows a nonmonotonous behavior as a function of temperature: at around 4 K there is a maximum followed by a flat minimum and the onset of strong broadening at higher temperatures. Finally, the central hole shows one-sided narrowly spaced side features. This behavior is interpreted within the frame of a two-site model. One of the two sites can be well described by a standard two level system; the other, however, shows characteristic features of a multilevel system. The two sites are characterized by strongly different optical linewidths, phototransformation yields, and thermal stabilities.  相似文献
