The generation of harmonics of the voltage response is considered when an AC current is applied through a superconducting
film above Tc. It is shown that almost at all temperatures the mechanism of the temperature oscillations created by the AC current and
the temperature dependence of the resistance dominates over the isothermal nonlinear electric conductivity. Only in a narrow
critical region close to Tc the latter is essential for the generation of the harmonics. A detailed investigation of harmonics generation provides an
accurate method for measuring the thermal boundary conductance between the film and the insulating substrate. The critical
behaviour of the third harmonic will give a new method for the determination of the lifetime of metastable Cooper pairs above
Tc. The comparison of the calculated fifth harmonics of the voltage with the experiment is proposed as an important test for
the applicability of the employed theoretical models.

Absorption of Alfvén waves is considered to be the main mechanism of
heating in the solar corona. It is concluded that the sharp increase
of the plasma temperature by two orders of magnitude is related to a
self-induced opacity with respect to Alfvén waves. The maximal
frequency for propagation of Alfvén waves is determined by the
strongly temperature dependent kinematic viscosity. In such a way
the temperature jump is due to absorption of high frequency Alfvén
waves in a narrow layer above the solar surface. It is calculated
the power per unit area dissipated in this layer due to damping of
Alfvén waves that blows up the plasma and gives birth to the
solar wind. A model short wave-length (WKB) evaluation takes into
account the 1/f2 frequency dependence of the transversal magnetic
field and velocity spectral densities. Such spectral densities agree
with old magnetometric data taken by Voyager 1 and recent
theoretical calculations in the framework of Langevin-Burgers MHD.
The presented theory predicts existence of intensive high frequency
MHD Alfvén waves in the cold layer beneath the corona. It is
briefly discussed how this statement can be checked experimentally.
It is demonstrated that the magnitude of the Alfvén waves
generating random noise and the solar wind velocity can be expressed
only in terms of satellite experimental data. It is advocated that
investigation of properties of the solar surface as a random driver by
optical methods is an important task for future solar physics. 相似文献

In this paper, we report on the sharp peak observed in the third harmonic voltage response generated by a bias sinusoidal
current applied to several strips patterned in a YBa2Cu3O
7 - δ
thin film and in two La2-xSrxCuO4 thin films, when the temperature is close to the normal-superconductor transition. The lambda-shaped temperature dependence
of the third harmonic signal on the current characteristics is studied. Several physical mechanisms of third harmonic generation
are examined.

By measurements of the electron energy distribution function in a Xe afterglow plasma, the rate constants of the binary ionizing collisions between metastable Xe atoms were determined. The value of β22 = (7.3 ± 1) × 10?10cm3s?1 satisfactorily agrees with the value for a van der Waals capture. 相似文献

A simple analytical formula for three-dimensional Fermi surface (3D FS) of ${\rm Tl}_2{\rm Ba}_2{\rm CuO}_{6+\delta}$ is derived in the framework of LCAO approximation spanned over Cu 4s, Cu 3d $3d_{x^2 - y^2 }$ , O 2px and O 2py states. This analytical result can be used for fitting of experimental data for 3D FS such as polar angle magnetoresistance oscillation. The model takes into account effective copper-copper hopping amplitude tss between Cu 4s orbitals from neighbouring ${\textrm{CuO}_2}$ layers. The acceptable correspondence with the experimental data gives a hint that the tss amplitude dominates in formation of coherent 3D FS, and other oxygen-oxygen and copper-oxygen amplitudes are rather negligible. For absolute determination of the hopping parameters a simple electronic experiment with a field effect transistor type microstructure is suggested. The thin superconductor layer is the source-drain channel of the layered structure where an AC current is applied. 相似文献

A simple electronic experiment using a field-effect-transistor–type
microstructure is suggested. The thin superconductor layer forms the
source-drain channel of a layered structure across which an AC current is
applied. It is found necessary to measure the second harmonic of the
source-gate voltage, and the third harmonic of the source-drain voltage;
these electronic measurements then give the logarithmic derivative of
the density of states, which is an important consideration when fitting

We present high resolution 133Cs-13C double resonance NMR data and 13C-13C NMR correlation spectra of 13C enriched samples of the polymeric phase of CsC60. These data lead to a partial assignment of the lines in the 13C NMR spectrum of CsC60 to the carbon positions on the C60 molecule. A plausible completion of the assignment can be made on the basis of an ab initio calculation. The data support the view that the conduction electron density is concentrated at the C60 "equator," away from the interfullerene bonds. 相似文献
