Unified Interactive Multiple Objective Programming: An Open Architecture For Accommodating New Procedures

It has previously been shown that nine of the most prominent procedures of interactive multiple objective programming can be considered as special cases of a common procedure called the unified algorithm. In this paper, we show how four additional procedures can be similarly included in the unified approach. Also, the paper presents a procedure-switching matrix that depicts the possibilities for switching from one procedure to another, one iteration to the next, in the unified algorithm if so directed by a user.     

Averaged molecular weight of complex mixtures as determined by rapid measurements of diffusion

Summary The concept of a diffusion-averaged molecular weight, M_d is presented, and M_d is defined for polydisperse samples. It is shown via oligostyrene mixtures that M_d can be determined in 20 minutes with common chromatographic equipment. If M_d is measured and M_n or M_w is known, the polydispersity can be obtained.     

Diffusion-averaged molecular weights of «nonboiling» crude oil fractions

Summary The successful application of the formerly presented concept of diffusion-averaged molecular weight, M_d, to vacuum residues of crude oils, or their fractions, is described. The samples for establishing the calibration curve, logDvs. logM, were crude oil fractions with polydispersities smaller than 1.1. In a surprisingly good approximation the calibration curve is independent of the origin of these fractions if 500<M<10000. The validity of our calibration curve was demonstrated with more than 10 crude oil residues and with some of their hydrogenation residues [2].     

Radiometrische Bandwaage mit Rechnerschaltkreis zur Signalaufbereitung

Es wird eine radiometrische Bandwaage zur Koksaustragsmengen-Messung in BHT-Kokereien beschrieben. Voranstellend werden einige analytische Ausdrücke zur theoretischen Behandlung dieses Bandwaagentyps mitgeteilt. Die Waage zeichnet sich durch hohe Stabilität der Anzeige, durch die Möglichkeit des routinemäßigen Umsetzens von Meßstelle zu Meßstelle innerhalb kurzer Zeit und durch einen relativ kleinen Wägefehler (Meßunsicherheit ≦ 2,9%) aus. Die Signalaufbereitung innerhalb der Elektronik erfolgt durchgängig digital unter Verwendung eines Rechnerschaltkreises.     

Experimental study of the time-dependent rate of K → πππ

The time-dependence of the decay rate of initially pure K⁰ into the final state (π⁺π⁻π⁰) has been studied in search for the decay k_S⁰→π⁺π⁻π⁰. No evidence is found in a sample of 384 observed events. The ratio of the CP -violating K_S⁰ amplitude and the K_L⁰ amplitude is η₊₋₀ = (0.13_−0.20^+0.17) + i(0.17_−0.26^+0.27); the ratio of the CP-conserving K_S⁰ amplitude and the K_L⁰ amplitude is < 0.4. The energy dependence of the K⁰→π⁺π⁻π⁰ matrix element is found to be a₊₋₀ = −0.31 ± 0.03.     

Ein tragbares Kontrollgerät fÜr α-Oberflächenkontaminationen

Es wird ein volltransistorisiertes, tragbares Gerät zur Bestimmung von a-Oberflächenkontaminationen beschrieben, welches mit 7 Proportionahählrohren VA-Z-520 arbeitet. Ein mechanisches Zählwerk dient zur Verbesserung der Anzeige bei kleinen Aktivitätswerten, bei gröβeren erfolgt diese durch ein Ratemeter. Die laut Strahlenschutzverordnung zulässigen α-Oberflächenkontaminationen können mit diesem Gerät kontrolliert werden. Die Kalibrierung wurde mit Hilfe eines ²³⁹Pu-Standardflächenpräparates ausgeführt. Das Gerät ist auβerdem für β-γ-Messungen geeignet. Hierzu wird lediglich der Zählrohrteil der Sonde gegen den β-γ-Kopf mit 7 Stück VA-Z-310 ausgetauscht.
