Industrially unfavorable process of steel surface decarburization was induced by annealing in air. Two methods of after-anneal surface treatment were used: an acid pickling and a sand blasting. The obtained decarburized layers were examined by optical microscope, wave dispersive spectrometer, and surface X-ray diffraction method. Magnetic Barkhausen noise technique was tested for applicability of non-destructive characterization of the decarburized layer depth. A newly introduced parameter, Barkhausen noise coercivity, was proposed for practical use due to its sensitivity to decarburization and stability to measurement conditions. Other magnetic parameters, e.g. number of Barkhausen noise counts, were found to be sensitive to the compressive residual stress caused by the sand blasting.  相似文献

Quantum turbulence in superfluid He II and in 3He-B that can be regarded as nearly isothermal, isotropic, and homogeneous is discussed within the two-fluid model. A general form of the 3D energy spectrum is proposed: at large length scales, where normal and superfluid eddies are locked together by the mutual friction force, the energy spectrum is essentially classical and includes an inertial range of a Kolmogorov K62 form. With increasing wavenumber k, the normal fluid part of the spectrum terminates due to finite viscosity, while the superfluid part of the spectral energy density changes towards k −3 and then back into Kolmogorov-like k −5/3 again. Agreement with computer simulations and experiments is claimed if account is taken of the turbulent box size and of the energy decay rate. The text was submitted by the author in English.  相似文献

Ultrahigh Reynolds (Re) and Rayleigh (Ra) number flow can be produced and studied under controlled laboratory conditions using cryogenic liquid and gaseous He. Transmission of terahertz waves through a thin layer of the NbN superconductor deposited on a sapphire substrate was studied as a function of temperature in zero field as well as in magnetic field perpendicular to the sample. For photon energies lower than optical gap, detailed temperature measurements in zero field provide BCS-like curves with a pronounced peak below the critical temperature. In accordance with the BCS model, the temperature peak disappears as the energy of incident radiation is increased above the gap. In non-zero field, the temperature behavior of transmission is modified because the gap is suppressed and vanishes at upper critical field. In addition, the presence of quantized vortices in the superconducting film substantially changes shape of the temperature curves.  相似文献

We present an experimental study of turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection (RBC) in a cylindrical cell of height 0.3 m, diameter 0.3 m. It is designed to minimize the influence of its structure on the convective flow of cryogenic (4)He gas of Prandtl number Pr≈1, with the aim of resolving existing contradictions in Nusselt (Nu) versus Rayleigh number (Ra) scaling. For 7.2×10(6)≤Ra≤10(11) our data agree with suitably corrected data from similar cryogenic experiments and are consistent with Nu∝Ra(2/7). On approaching Ra≈10(11) our data display a crossover to Nu∝Ra(1/3) that approximately holds up to Ra=4.6×10(13); there is no sign of a transition to the ultimate Kraichnan regime. Differences in Nu(Ra) scaling observed in similar RBC experiments for Ra≥10(11) cannot be explained due to the difference in Pr, but seem to depend also on experimental details.  相似文献

Attenuation of second sound in helium II has been used to observe up to 6 orders of magnitude of decaying vorticity displaying four distinctly different regimes of decaying grid turbulence in a finite channel. A purely classical spectral model for homogeneous and isotropic turbulence describes most of the decay of helium II vorticity in the temperature range 1.2相似文献

The existence of the flow phase diagram predicted by Volovik [JETP Lett. 78, 553 (2003)] is discussed based on the available experimental data for He II and 3He-B. The effective temperature-dependent but scale-independent Reynolds number Reeff≡1/q≡(1?α′)/α, where α and α′ are the mutual friction parameters, and the superfluid Reynolds number characterizing the circulation of the superfluid component in units of the circulation quantum are used as the dynamic parameters. In particular, the flow diagram permits the identification of the experimentally observed turbulent states I and II in counterflowing He II with the classical and quantum turbulent regimes suggested by Volovik.  相似文献
