In this paper we highlighted the synthesis, characterization, and practical exploitation of different types of polyphosphazenes substituted with fluorinated groups. There are several ways in which fluorine atoms can be inserted into polyphosphazenes, all of which leading to different polymers showing a wide range of characteristics. In general it is true that the insertion of fluorine atoms into phosphazene macromolecules leads to an enhancement of the thermal stability, flame resistance, low-temperature elastomericity, and chemical inertness of the phosphazenes obtained. The contribution of Italian research groups to the preparation and exploitation of organic commercial macromolecules grafted onto fluorinated polyphosphazenes is also reviewed.  相似文献

Abstract. In this paper we study the notion of perimeter associated with doubling metric measures or strongly weights. We prove that the metric perimeter in the sense of L. Ambrosio and M. Miranda jr. coincides with the metric Minkowski content and can be obtained also as a -limit of Modica-Mortola type degenerate integral functionals. We consider the generalization of the classical P||Cmax problem (assign n jobs to m identical parallel processors by minimizing the makespan) arising when the number of jobs that can be assigned to each processor cannot exceed a given integer k. The problem is strongly NP-hard for any fixed k > 2. We briefly survey lower and upper bounds from the literature. We introduce greedy heuristics, local search and a scatter search approach. The effectiveness of these approaches is evaluated through extensive computational comparison with a depth-first branch-and-bound algorithm that includes new lower bounds and dominance criteria.  相似文献

We address the problem of packing a given set of rectangles into the minimum size square. We consider three versions of the problem, arising when the rectangles (i) are squares; (ii) have a fixed orientation; (iii) can be rotated by 90. For each case we study lower bounds, and analyze their worst-case performance ratio. In addition, we evaluate through computational experiments their average performance on instances from the literature.  相似文献

ESR spectroscopy has been used to study the interaction of para-pentylbenzyl hydroxyalkyl nitroxide with the monolayer of water-soluble protected gold clusters having a core diameter ranging from 1.6 to 5.3 nm. The solubilization of the nitroxide probe in the more hydrophobic environment of the monolayer strongly depends on the size of the gold core. In particular, the partition equilibrium constant increases as the nanoparticle diameter decreases. These results have been attributed to the different packing of the chains in the monolayer resulting from the different radius of curvature of the investigated nanoparticles. This represents, to the best of our knowledge, the first report demonstrating that the core size of metallic nanoparticles affects the solvating properties of the protective organic monolayer.  相似文献

Monte Carlo simulation results are reported for clusters consisting of 250 water molecules surrounding serine, both in the neutral form and in two zwitterionic conformers (in order to gain some insight into conformational effects). Calculations were carried out at 300 K and using two-body potentials obtained by means of quantum-mechanical calculations. The spatial dependence of the average interaction energies was investigated. The solvation structure was investigated by means of radial distribution functions and probability density maps, which showed a few water molecules directly solvating the hydrophilic groups and, beyond them, a more or less rich and complex hydrogen-bonded network of solvent molecules.  相似文献

This review is focused on the different chromatographic strategies for blood alcohol determination which can be adopted for clinical and/or forensic purposes. Particular attention is paid to gas chromatography and to high-performance liquid chromatography. However, other analytical techniques in common use, such as chemical and enzymic methods, are also briefly presented, together with some, at present unusual or experimental, approaches, such as enzymic reactors and catalytic electrodes, which are suitable for application in column liquid chromatography. Finally, mention is made of the methods for the determination of acetaldehyde, the major ethanol metabolite, and of some proposed markers of chronic alcohol abuse, such as acetaldehyde-protein adducts and carbohydrate-deficient transferrin. In order to give the background of knowledge for the rational choice of an analytical strategy, an updated outline of ethanol metabolism and toxicology is presented, together with basic information for the interpretation of the results. Problems concerning blood sampling and storage are also discussed.  相似文献

The self-assembly of open ditopic and tetratopic cavitand complexes has been investigated by using monofunctionalized cavitand ligands and suitable metal precursors. In the case of ditopic complexes, self-assembly protocols, leading exclusively to the formation of both thermodynamically stable cis-Pt square-planar complexes 8 and 9 and the kinetically inert fac-Re octahedral complex 14, have been elaborated. The use of cis-[Pt(CH3)CN)2Cl2] as metal precursor led to the formation of monotopic trans-10 and ditopic trans-11 cavitand complexes, while cis-[Pt(dmso)2Cl2] afforded both cis-13 and trans-11 isomers. The self-assembly of tetratopic cavitand complexes has been achieved by using mononuclear [Pd(CH3CN)4(BF4)2] and dinuclear [M2(tppb)(OTf)4] (19: M = Pt; 20: M = Pd) metal precursors. Only the tetratopic dinuclear complexes 21 and 22 were stable. The ligand configuration with two phosphorus and two cavitand ligands at the metal centers is the most appropriate to build tetratopic cavitand complexes with sufficient kinetic stability.  相似文献
