Eleven chiral derivatizing reagents (CDRs) were used for preparation of diastereomers of (R,S)‐mexiletine containing a primary amino group in close proximity to the stereogenic center. One anhydride, namely [(S,S)‐O,O'‐di‐p‐toluoyl tartaric acid anhydride] was synthesized and (S)‐naproxen was used as such as the chiral derivatizing reagent. The other nine CDRs were synthesized by substituting one of the fluorine atoms in 1,5‐difluoro‐2,4‐dinitrobenzene with six amino acid amides and three amino acids. The diastereomers were separated by reversed‐phase high‐performance liquid chromatography. The method was validated for linearity, accuracy, limit of detection and limit of quantification. The energy gap between valence and conduction levels in colloidal semiconductor quantum dots can be tuned via the nanoparticle diameter when this is comparable to or less than the Bohr radius. In materials such as cadmium mercury telluride, which readily forms a single phase ternary alloy, this quantum confinement tuning can also be augmented by compositional tuning, which brings a further degree of freedom in the bandgap engineering. Here it is shown that compositional control of 2.3 nm diameter CdxHg(1?x)Te nanocrystals by exchange of Hg2+ in place of Cd2+ ions can be used to tune their optical properties across a technologically useful range, from 500 nm to almost 1200 nm. Data on composition‐dependent changes in the optical properties are provided, including bandgap, extinction coefficient, emission energy and spectral shape, Stokes shift, quantum efficiency, and radiative lifetimes as the exchange process occurs, which are highly relevant for those seeking to use these technologically important QD materials.  相似文献

An interconnection between superluminal transformation and supersymmetric transformations has been investigated in complex C3-space and the evolution of bosonic and fermionic subspaces in such space has been undertaken. Introducing the suitable anticommuting operators to induce grading in Poincare group in C3-space in terms of components of complex angular momentum operator, the supersymmetric algebra connecting bradyonic and tachyonic bosons and fermions has been constructed and it has been demonstrated that the difference between scales of bosonic and fermionic subspaces in C3-space increases quickly in spite of their closeness initially.  相似文献

The reactions of p‐nitrophenyl acetate (PNPA) and p‐nitrophenyl benzoate (PNPB) with α‐nucleophile oximates, that is, butane 2,3‐dione monoximate, pralidoximate, and other oximates have been studied in the presence of different cationic surfactants. The first‐order rate constant increases with increasing surfactant concentration. The extent of acceleration is dependent on the head group structure of surfactants. A new series of chiral derivatizing reagents (CDRs) consisting of five hydrazino dinitrophenyl (HDNP)-amino acids (CDR 1?C5) was prepared by a two-step synthesis procedure starting from 1,5-difluoro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (DFDNB). In the first step, five fluoro-dinitrophenyl (FDNP)-reagents, namely FDNP-l-Leu, FDNP-l-Val, FDNP-l-Phe, FDNP-l-Ala and FDNP-d-Phg were synthesized by substituting one of the fluorine atoms in DFDNB moiety with amino acids l-Leu, l-Val, l-Phe, l-Ala and d-Phg, respectively. In the following step, the remaining fluorine atom of the FDNP reagents was substituted with hydrazine hydrate to obtain five HDNP reagents (i.e. CDR 1?C5; HDNP-l-Leu, HDNP-l-Val, HDNP-l-Phe, HDNP-l-Ala and HDNP-d-Phg). These five CDRs were used for synthesis of diastereomers of six racemic carbonyl compounds which were resolved by high-performance liquid chromatography using C18 column and gradient eluting mixture of acetonitrile or methanol with triethylammonium phosphate buffer with UV detection at 348 nm. Microwave irradiation was used for synthesis of both the CDRs and the diastereomers. The newly synthesized CDRs were observed to be superior in comparison to their counterparts having amino acid amides as chiral auxiliaries in terms of cost effectiveness and providing better resolution of diastereomers. Amino acids are unique in terms of their structural features and multidimensional uses. With their simple structures and the ready availability of both enantiomers, amino acids not only serve as a chiral pool for synthesis but also provide an inexpensive pool for resolution studies. There has been no attempt to review the application of amino acids as chiral selectors for chromatographic enantioresolution of pharmaceuticals and other compounds. The present paper deals with application of l-amino acids and complexes of l-amino acids with a metal ion, particularly Cu(II), as an impregnating reagent in thin-layer chromatography or as a chiral ligand exchange reagent or a chiral mobile phase additive in both thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. Enantiomeric resolution of β-blockers, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, amino acids (and their derivatives) and certain other compounds is discussed.  相似文献

Enantioresolution of (R,S)-baclofen was accomplished using a newly synthesized set of three chiral derivatizing reagents (CDRs) having amines [(S)-(-)-α,4-dimethylbenzylamine, (-)-cis-myrtanylamine and (R)-(-)-1-cyclohexylethylamine] as chiral auxiliaries in cyanuric chloride and another set of five CDRs having amino acids (L-Leu, D-Phg, L-Val, L-Met and L-Ala) as chiral auxiliaries. These eight CDRs were used for synthesis of diastereomers of (R,S)-baclofen under microwave irradiation. The diastereomers were separated on a reversed-phase C(18) column using mixtures of methanol with aqueous trifluoroacetic acid with UV detection at 230 nm. Chromatographic data obtained for the two sets of diastereomers were compared among themselves and among the two groups. Nucleophilic reactivity of some functionalized surfactants, i.e. quaternary pyridinium aldoximes towards the hydrolysis of p‐nitrophenyl acetate (PNPA), p‐nitrophenyl benzoate (PNPB), p‐nitrophenyldiphenyl phosphate (PNPDPP) and p‐nitrophenyl p‐toluene sulphonate (PNPTS) has been studied at pH 7.1 and 27 °C. Addition of functionalized surfactant to reaction medium causes progressive increase in the rate of hydrolysis and reaches a maximum and then decreases due to further addition of surfactant. An increase in the alkyl chain length of functionalized surfactants resulted in an increase in the first‐order rate constant. The apparent pKa and CMC of functionalized surfactants have also been determined by spectrophotometric and conductometric methods, respectively. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
