We report on the results obtained from the study of the 32S + 64Ni and 32S + 58Ni peripheral reactions at incident energies E lab = 288 MeV and E lab = 320 MeV, respectively. High-energy γ-rays were detected in an array of 8 seven-pack BaF2 clusters. Coincidence with complex fragments detected in 12 three-stage telescopes ensured the selection of peripheral reaction events. All of the relevant reaction parameters were kept constant with the exception of the different initial dipole moment caused by the different entrance channel charge asymmetry. While for quasi-elastic events no N/Z effect was observed in the differential γ-ray multiplicities of the two reactions, for deep-inelastic events a larger dipole γ-ray emission occurs during the more N/Z asymmetric reaction. A theoretical interpretation based on a collective Bremsstrahlung analysis of the reaction dynamics is presented. PRISMA is a magnetic spectrometer installed at Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (Italy) and designed for A=100–200, E=5–10 MeV-per-nucleon beams, and for possible use with the proposed radioactive beam facility SPES. The foremost features of the instrument are presented, along with the outline of two data analyses exemplifying the effectiveness of PRISMA-CLARA in studies of reaction dynamics.  相似文献

The interaction of loosely bound (S p = 600 keV) 17F ions with a 208Pb target was studied at E lab = 86 MeV, below the Coulomb barrier, by measuring the differential cross-section for the quasi-elastic scattering and the cross-section for the exclusive breakup process 17F $ \rightarrow$ 16O + p . The small reaction and exclusive breakup cross-sections confirm the small reactivity of this system, even at low energy, and indicates that the 17F small binding energy plays a minor role in the reaction dynamics.  相似文献

We report on the results obtained from the study of the 32S +74Ge deep inelastic reaction at incident energy E= 320 MeV. High-energy γ-rays were detected in an array of 6 seven-pack BaF2 clusters. Coincidence with complex fragments detected in 12 three-stage telescopes ensured the selection of peripheral reaction events. In order to investigate the pre-equilibrium dipole strength excitation two independent analyses were performed. In the first analysis the energy spectra of the γ-rays were evaluated in the statistical model framework while in the second one the γ-ray fragment angular correlation with respect to the nuclear spin vector of the composite system was studied. Both methods indicate the excitation of dipole strength in the highly deformed dinucleus and provide dipole resonance parameter sets that are in good agreement with each other. Photons emitted in the28 Si+64 Ni and32 S+64 Ni reactions at 143 MeV and 156 MeV incident energy respectively, have been detected in coincidence with the ejected charged fragments. An array of 48 BaF2 -rays detector and 6 solid state silicon detector telescopes have been used. Photon energy spectra measured in the energy range from 2 to 20 MeV in coincidence with ejectiles coming from deep inelastic reactions, are consistent with statistical emission from the reaction products.Thanks are due to Dr.T.Noorman for the suggestions in the statistical calculations and to Mr.C.Marchetta for the preparation of high quality targets.  相似文献

In this paper, an energy and exergy analysis is applied to the air dehumidification unit of a liquid desiccant system in an industrial gelatin conveyor dryer. The working fluid is a binary solution of lithium chloride (LiCl) in water. Dry air is used in order to decrease the amount of liquid in the gelatin. Therefore, the environmental air must have its absolute humidity reduced from about 12 g/kg to the project target, which is 5 g/kg. The process is a cycle using an absorption desiccant unit (LiCl in water), where the weak solution absorbs water vapor from the air. In the regenerator, condensation of the solution (desorption) from the moist air occurs. As a result, the steam consumption of the desorber and electrical power used for the vapor compression chiller (with ammonia, NH3, as working fluid) are the primary sources of cost for the factory. To improve the plant’s energy and exergy behaviors, the process is evaluated using a mathematical model of the system processes. In addition, we evaluate the substitution of the vapor compression chiller by an absorption unit (lithium bromide (LiBr) in water). The performance indicators of the compression vapor systems showed the best results. Even when using the condenser’s energy to pre-heat the solution, the installed system proved to be more effective.  相似文献

The elastic scattering process for 11Be ions impinging on a 209Bi target was studied in the energy range around the Coulomb barrier. The angular distributions of the 11Be scattered particles were analyzed within the optical model framework in order to evaluate the reaction cross section, which turned out to be much larger than the fusion one, especially in the sub-barrier region. The comparison with the system 9Be + 209Bi showed that the reaction cross section is larger for the reaction 11Be + 209Bi in the energy range around the Coulomb barrier, while they are rather similar at higher bombarding energies. This result suggests that direct processes related to the 11Be halo structure and lower binding energy are more relevant at near-barrier energies.  相似文献

The28Si+64Ni reaction at 163.8 MeV incident energy is studied by measuring in coincidenceγ-rays and charged particles identified from Z=2 to Z=16. The transition from quasi-elastic to more damped reactions is observed when the difference between the detected charge and the projectile one is increased. The strong influence of the particle decay on the measuredγ-ray multiplicity is evidenced with the help of the statistical model computer code CASCADE. Dissipative events are well described in the rolling limit with excitation energy equally shared between the fragments. The overall agreement is lost for the fragments with the projectile charge which show a small value of theγ-multiplicity even for dissipative events. This is probably connected with the previously observed non statistical behavior of gamma rays emitted in coincidence with projectile-like fragments. In the alpha-spectrum measured in coincidence with gamma-rays, the deexcitation of fused systems is clearly separated from in flight emission of deep inelastic fragments. The low measured gamma-ray multiplicity for fusion events is qualitatively explained taking into account the effect of alpha-emission in the statistical decay.  相似文献

It is shown that the Partially Overlapping Molecular Level Model (POMLM) accounts for the experimental results of the dissipative28Si +48Ti collision around 210 MeV incident energy. The general trend of the properties of the fluctuations as well as the average angular distributions are reproduced by the same set of main parameters. A general consistency is also found between the present data and the data obtained in previous work on the same colliding system performed at lower incident energy (around 123 MeV).  相似文献

Coherence energies extracted from excitation functions and angular distributions for the fragments emitted in the19F+63Cu reaction, measured in the range θlab=10° to 120° at incident energies between 100 to 108 MeV (lab.), were compared to the Kun model of dissipative collisions. An overall agreement was found for the angular distributions at forward angles. The general behavior of coherence energies was also properly described and interaction times were deduced.  相似文献
