Based on the QM/MM optimized X-ray crystal structure of the photosynthetic reaction center (PRC) of purple bacteriaRhodopseudomonas (Rps.)viridis, quantum chemistry density functional method (DFT, B3LYP/6-31G) has been performed to study the interactions between the pigment molecules and either the surrounded amino acid residues or water molecules that are either axially coordinated or hydrogen bonded with the pigment molecules, leading to an explanation of the mechanism of the primary electron-transfer (ET) reactions in the PRC. Results show that the axial coordination of amino acid residues greatly raises theE LUMO of pigment molecules and it is important for the possibility of ET to take place. Different hydrogen bonds between amino acid residues, water molecules and pigment molecules decrease theE LUMO of the pigment molecules to different extents. It is crucial for the ET taking place from excited P along L branch and sustains that the ET is a one-step reaction without through accessory bacteriochlorophyll (ABChl b). It is insufficient to treat the whole protein surrounding as a homogeneous dielectric medium. 相似文献

We analyse the polarization of spinor polariton condensates and corresponding dispersions of elementary excitations. We have considered the effects of magnetic field induced splitting in circular polarizations and residual splitting in linear polarizations in the ground state provided by the cavity asymmetry. We show that anisotropic polariton–polariton interactions fully compensate the Zeeman splitting in circular polarizations below the critical magnetic field, thus leading to the spin-Meissner effect for the polariton condensates. We also analyzed the effect of polariton–polariton interactions on the stability of the gap in linear polarizations characteristic for anisotropic microcavities. It was shown that in realistic systems this gap increases with concentration of the particles, thus contributing to the stability of the pinning of linear polarization of photoemission in semiconductor microcavities for pump intensities above the stimulation threshold. 相似文献

New effects of polarization multistability and polarization hysteresis in a coherently driven polariton system in a semiconductor microcavity are predicted and theoretically analyzed. The multistability arises due to polarization-dependent polariton-polariton interactions and can be revealed in polarization resolved photoluminescence experiments. The pumping power required to observe this effect is 4 orders of magnitude lower than the characteristic pumping power in conventional bistable optical systems. 相似文献

Enzymes contain several subunits to maintain different biological functions. However, it remains a great challenge for specific discrimination of one subunit over another. Toward this end, the fluorescent probe TPEMA is now presented for highly specific detection of the B subunit of cytosolic creatine (CK) kinase isoenzyme (CK-B). Owing to its aggregation-induced emission property, TPEMA shows highly boosted emission toward CK-B with a fast response time and very low interference from other analytes, including the M subunit of CK (CK-M). With the aid of a Job plot assay, ITC assay and molecular dynamics simulation, it was directly confirmed that the remarkably enhanced fluorescence of TPEMA in the presence of CK-B results from the restriction of single molecular motion in the cavity. Selective wash-free fluorescence imaging of CK-B in macrophages under different treatments was successfully demonstrated. 相似文献

As some stimuli utilized in conventional drug delivery systems can also be found in normal cells, it is inevitable that encapsulated drugs escape from carriers into normal cells. Based on mutual interactions among proteins, polyphenol compounds, and metal ions, we developed a serial-stimuli-responsive drug delivery system. With multi-crosslinking structure, nanocapsules can maintain the integrity of the framework, even with a certain amount of stimuli present, and eventually reach tumor cells to initiate apoptosis, and protect normal cells from being damaged. Meanwhile, the fluorescence of DOX will be quenched when encapsulated in nanocapsules. This property means that the DOX that is released from nanocapsules can be monitored in real-time based on the recovery of fluorescence. These versatile nanocapsules exhibit great potentials to treat cancer. 相似文献
