A differential measurement of the spin rotation of Dy160 in the 2+ rotational state was performed by using liquid sources of TbCl3 solved in 3M HCl and applying an external magnetic field of 33 500 Gauss. No change of the Larmor precession frequency could be detected within the first 10·10?9 s. It is concluded that the ground state of the electronic shell of Dy+++ is reached in 6·10?10 s after theβ-decay of Tb160. The valueg R=+0.364±0.011 was derived using 〈r?3〉eff=8.92 a. u. for the 4f-shell of Dy+++. A comparison with the result ofCohen who studied the Mössbauer-effect in Fe2Dy shows that the value of 〈r?3〉eff must be 10% larger in this compound. A measurement of the effective magnetic field at the position of the nucleus in a source of terbium metal was performed for different temperatures. It revealed a temperature dependence which is very similar to the paramagnetic susceptibility χ(T). We observed a strong attenuation ofγ γ-angular correlations in the 2+ rotational state. For liquid sources of TbCl3 solved in 3M HCl the following attenuation parameters were measured:

Lifetimes have been measured for dipole bands in 141Eu using DSAM. The deduced B(M1) and B(E2) values as well as B(M1)/B(E2) ratios are compared with calculations in the framework of the TAC (Tilted Axis Cranking) and SPAC (Shears mechanism with Principal Axis Cranking) models. Catalytic activity of Os(VIII) in the oxidation of some twenty organic sulfides with sodium salt of N-chlorobenzenesulfonamide (CAB) has been investigated in alkaline (pH8.7) t-butanol–water (1:1 v/v) medium. Nano titanium dioxide (nTiO2), generally considered to be toxicologically inert, is manufactured in large quantities and extensively applied in consumer products. The small size and large surface area endow them with an active group or intrinsic toxicity. Advances in instrumentation are making Raman spectroscopy the tool of choice for an increasing number of (bio) chemical applications. One of the great advantages of this technique is its ability to provide information on the concentration, structure and interaction of biochemical molecules in their microenvironments within intact cells and tissues, non-destructively. Zebrafish (Danio rerio), one of the most important vertebrate model organisms used in developmental biology, are increasingly used in biomedical research, particularly as a model of human disease. In the present work, an attempt is made to study the effect of titanium dioxide, both nano and bulk, on the microenvironment of the liver tissues of Zebrafish using FT-Raman spectroscopy. The results of the present study suggest that TiO2 exposure demonstrate a marked influence on the microenvironments of the liver tissues of Zebrafish. A shift to a higher wavenumber and an increase in the intensity of the band at ∼1087 cm−1 in the TiO2 exposed tissues suggest that some of the conformational changes resulting from the alkali recovery process takes place due to TiO2 exposure. The decreased intensity ratio (I3220/I3400) observed in the titanium-exposed tissues suggests a decreased water domain size, which could be interpreted in terms of weaker hydrogen-bonded molecular species of water in the TiO2 exposed tissues. The observed shift of COO− bands to higher frequencies shows the disruption of salt bridges as a result of a change in the oppositely charged partners and due to the enhanced random coil conformation. The variation in the intensity ratio of the tyrosyl doublet (I858/I825) indicates variation in the hydrogen bonding of the phenolic hydroxyl group due to TiO2 exposure. The results further suggest that the microenvironments are greatly altered due to titanium nano exposure when compared to titanium bulk. In conclusion, the results indicate that FT-Raman spectroscopy might be a useful tool for rapid assessment of nano particle biological interactions. 相似文献

A modular approach for the synthesis of highly ordered porous and chiral auxiliary (Evans auxiliary) decorated metal-organic frameworks is developed. Our synthesis strategy, which uses known porous structures as model materials for incorporation of chirality via linker modification, can provide access to a wide range of porous materials suitable for enantioselective separation and catalysis. Two new isomers have been observed in180Os. A high-K isomer withI, K ≧20 and a half-life ofT 1/2=12+4 ns have been established. It deexcites via two transitions into the 18+ level of the yrare band indicating an unusually smallK-hindrance factor. Evidence for an isomer withI, K>16 and a half-life ofT 1/2=41±10 ns was found. A half-life of 17±3 ns was measured for the previously known 7? state at 1862 keV. The decay scheme of the previously known 7? isomer at 1928 keV has been extended and a revised version is presented. 相似文献
