The saturation problem in the three-triplet quark model, discussed previously by Nambu and by Lipkin, is investigated. We prove that in a simple version of the model, the only bound states of any color representation and any numbers of quarks and antiquarks are the qq (meson), qqq (baryon), and a heavier diquark state.  相似文献

The preparation of a variety of novel 1-aryl-4,6-diamino-1,2-dihydro-s-triazines is described. These compounds exhibit an array of contrasting effects on intestinal helminths, bacteria, and dihydrofolic reductase. It is concluded that potent anthelmintic activity among the dihydro-triazines is not dependent solely on the bulky-substituent hypothesis advanced by other investigators, and indeed cannot reliably be predicted on this basis.  相似文献

The thiazetidines (1) and (2) undergo a novel and high yielding rearrangement on hydrogenation with heterogeneous catalysis to give the thiazolidines (5) and (8) whilst reaction with the homogeneous catalyst Rh(Ph3P)3Cl results in the alternative high yielding rearrangement to give a thiazine.  相似文献

A host-guest optical sensor for the determination of aliphatic amines as exemplified by octylamine is proposed. It is based on the reversible fluorescence enhancement of heptakis(2,6-di-O-isobutyl)-β-cyclodextrin(DOB-β-CD) hosting tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP) immobilized in poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane by aliphatic amine extracted from aqueous phase into membrane phase. The optimum membrane contained 1.15 wt % TPP, 6.15 wt % DOB-β-CD as sensing reagent and other membrane materials. The fluorescence enhancement of the membrane resulted from the formation of a stable three-component complex among DOB-β-CD, TPP, and aliphatic amines. With the optimum conditions described, the fluorescence response of the sensor to octylamine shows a good correlation with the theoretically derived equation in the range 1.0 × 10–6 to 8.0 × 10–4 mol/L. The response characteristics including reversibility, response time, reproducibility and lifetime and selectivity of this optical device are also discussed in detail. This sensor has also been applied for the determination of octylamine in water samples containing interferents with satisfactory recovery.  相似文献

We present studies of novel nanocomposites of BiNi impregnated into the structure of opals as well as inverse opals. Atomic force microscopy and high resolution elemental analyses show a highly ordered structure and uniform distribution of the BiNi filler in the matrix. These BiNi-based nanocomposites are found to exhibit distinct ferromagnetic-like ordering with transition temperature of about 675 K. As far as we know there exists no report in literature on any BiNi compound which is magnetic.  相似文献

The erythropoietin receptor (EPOr) is activated by ligand-induced homodimerization, which leads to the proliferation and differentiation of erythroid progenitors. Through the screening of combinatorial libraries of dimeric iminodiacetic acid diamides, novel small molecule binders of EPOr were identified in a protein binding assay. Evaluation of a series of analogues led to optimization of binding subunits, and these were utilized in the synthesis of higher order dimer, trimer, and tetramer libraries. Several of the most active EPOr binders were found to be partial agonists and induced concentration-dependent proliferation of an EPO-dependent cell line (UT-7/EPO) while having no effect on a cell line lacking the EPOr (FDC-P1). An additional compound library, based on a symmetrical isoindoline-5,6-dicarboxylic acid template and including the optimized binding subunits, was synthesized and screened leading to the identification of additional EPO mimetics.  相似文献

An interlaboratory study was conducted for the validation of 3 methods for the detection of all verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli (VTEC) in foods. The methods were a multi-analyte 1-step lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) for detection of E. coli O157 and verotoxin (VT); an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay targeted against VT1, VT2, and VT2c (VT-ELISA); and a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method for detection of VT genes (VT-PCR). Aliquots (25 g or 25 mL) of 4 food types (raw minced [ground] beef, unpasteurized milk, unpasteurized apple juice [cider], and salami) were individually inoculated with low numbers (<9 to 375 cells/25 g) of 6 test strains of E. coli (serogroups O26, O103, O111, O145, and O157) with differing VT-producing capabilities. Five replicates for each test strain and 5 uninoculated samples were prepared for each food type. Fourteen participating laboratories analyzed samples using the LFIA, 9 analyzed the samples by ELISA, and 9 by PCR. The LFIA for O157 and VT had a specificity (correct identification of negative samples) of 92 and 94%, respectively, and a sensitivity (correct identification of positive samples) of 94 and 55%, respectively. The VT-ELISA and VT-PCR had a specificity of 98 and 99%, respectively, and a sensitivity of 89 and 72%, respectively.  相似文献

Oxidative addition of the sulfur-sulfur bond of 2,2'-pyridine disulfide (C(5)H(4)NS-SC(5)H(4)N) with L(3)W(CO)(3) [L = pyridine, (1)/(3)CHPT; CHPT = cycloheptatriene] in methylene chloride solution yields the seven-coordinate W(II) thiolate complex W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(CO)(3) (mp = monoanion of 2-mercaptopyridine). This complex undergoes slow further oxidative addition with additional pyridine disulfide, yielding W(eta(2)- mp)(4). Reaction of W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(CO)(3) with NO results in quantitative formation of the six-coordinate W(0) complex W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2). Reaction of W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(CO)(3) with NO in the presence of added pyridine disulfide yields the seven-coordinate W(II) nitrosyl complex W(eta(2)-mp)(3)(NO) as well as W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2) and trace amounts of W(eta(2)-mp)(4). The complex W(eta(2)-mp)(3)(NO) is formed during the course of the reaction and not by reaction of W(eta(2)-mp)(4) or W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2) with NO under these conditions. The crystal structures of W(eta(2)- mp)(2)(CO)(3), W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2), and W(eta(2)-mp)(3)(NO) are reported.  相似文献
