It has been recently demonstrated that carbon nanotubes (CNTs) represent a new type of chemical sensor capable of detecting a small concentration of molecules such as CO, NO2, NH3.In this work, CNTs were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) on the SiO2/Si substrate by decomposition of acetylene (C2H2) on sputtered Ni catalyst nanoparticles. Their structural properties are studied by atomic force microscopy, high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM) and Raman spectroscopy. The CNTs grown at 700 °C exhibit a low dispersion in size, are about 1 μm long and their average diameter varies in the range 25–60 nm as a function of the deposition time. We have shown that their diameter can be reduced either by annealing in oxygen environment or by growing at lower temperature (less than 600 °C).We developed a test device with interdigital Pt electrodes on an Al2O3 substrate in order to evaluate the CNTs-based gas sensor capabilities. We performed room temperature current–voltage measurements for various gas concentrations. The CNT films are found to exhibit a fast response and a high sensitivity to NH3 gas.  相似文献

Tithonia tagetiflora Desv. (Asteraceae) is a widespread plant in Vietnam, and the species of Tithonia are known as plants containing many biologically active compounds. However, T. tagetiflora's chemical composition remains mostly unknown. Therefore, we now report the structural elucidation of two new sesquiterpene lactones, 8‐angeloyloxy‐2,14‐epoxygermacra‐4,10(1),11(13)‐trien‐6,12‐olide (1) and 6‐angeloyloxy‐1‐hydroxy‐3,4‐epoxygermacra‐9,11(13)‐dien‐8,12‐olide (2), together with three known compounds, including two norisoprenoids, (6S,9S)‐vomifoliol or (6R,9R)‐vomifoliol (3) and (6S,9S)‐roseoside (4), and one glutinane type triterpene, epi‐glutinol (5), from the leaves of T. tagetiflora. In this paper we calculate some effective cross-sections of leptons on the basis of S-matrix constructed in 8-dimensional united space [1]. The Lagrangian is chosen, within the framework of the 0 (71) group classification of elementary particles. Electromagnetic interaction does not change the internal structure of the participating particles. The results obtained agree well with experiments.  相似文献

The direct depolymerization of SiO2 to distillable alkoxysilanes has been explored repeatedly without success for 85 years as an alternative to carbothermal reduction (1900 °C) to Simet, followed by treatment with ROH. We report herein the base‐catalyzed depolymerization of SiO2 with diols to form distillable spirocyclic alkoxysilanes and Si(OEt)4. Thus, 2‐methyl‐2,4‐pentanediol, 2,2,4‐trimethyl‐1,3‐pentanediol, or ethylene glycol (EGH2) react with silica sources, such as rice hull ash, in the presence of NaOH (10 %) to form H2O and distillable spirocyclic alkoxysilanes [bis(2‐methyl‐2,4‐pentanediolato) silicate, bis(2,2,4‐trimethyl‐1,3‐pentanediolato) silicate or Si(eg)2 polymer with 5–98 % conversion, as governed by surface area/crystallinity. Si(eg)2 or bis(2‐methyl‐2,4‐pentanediolato) silicate reacted with EtOH and catalytic acid to give Si(OEt)4 in 60 % yield, thus providing inexpensive routes to high‐purity precipitated or fumed silica and compounds with single Si−C bonds.  相似文献

Trichomonas vaginalis generates reduced ferredoxin within a unique subcellular organelle, hydrogenosome that is used as a reductant for H2 production. Pyruvate ferredoxin oxidoreductase and NADH dehydrogenase (NADH-DH) are the two enzymes catalyzing the production of reduced ferredoxin. The genes encoding the two subunits of NADH-DH were cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. Kinetic properties of the recombinant heterodimer were similar to that of the native enzyme from the hydrogenosome. The recombinant holoenzyme contained 2.15 non-heme iron and 1.95 acid-labile sulfur atoms per heterodimer. The EPR spectrum of the dithionite-reduced protein revealed a [2Fe–2S] cluster with a rhombic symmetry of g xyz?=?1.917, 1.951, and 2.009 corresponding to cluster N1a of the respiratory complex I. Based on the Fe content, absorption spectrum, and the EPR spectrum of the purified small subunit, the [2Fe–2S] cluster was located in the small subunit of the holoenzyme. This recombinant NADH-DH oxidized NADH and reduced low redox potential electron carriers, such as viologen dyes as well as Clostridium ferredoxin that can couple to hydrogenase for H2 production from NADH. These results show that this unique hydrogenosome NADH dehydrogenase with a critical role in H2 evolution in the hydrogenosome can be produced with near-native properties in E. coli for metabolic engineering of the bacterium towards developing a dark fermentation process for conversion of biomass-derived sugars to H2 as an energy source.  相似文献

We study numerically the localization properties of a two-channel quasi-one-dimensional Anderson model with uncorrelated diagonal disorder within the nearest-neighbor tight-binding approximation. We calculate and analyze the disorder-averaged transmittance and the Lyapunov exponent. We find that the localization of the entire system is enhanced by increasing the interchain hopping strength t?. From the numerical investigation of the energy dependence of the Lyapunov exponent for many different interchain hopping strengths, we find that apart from the band center anomaly, which usually occurs in strictly one-dimensional disordered systems, additional anomalies appear at special spectral points. They are found to be associated with the interchain hopping strength and occur at E = ± t?/2 and ± t?. We find that the anomalies at E = ± t? are associated with the π-coupling occurring within one energy band and those at E = ± t?/2 are associated with the π-coupling occurring between two different energy bands. Despite having a similar origin, these two anomalies have distinct characteristics in their dependence on the strength of disorder. We also show that for a suitable range of parameter values, effectively delocalized states are observed in finite-size systems.  相似文献
