Two-particle interferometry of positive kaons is studied in Pb+Pb collisions at mean transverse momenta approximately 0.25 and 0.91 GeV/c. A three-dimensional analysis was applied to the lower p(T) data, while a two-dimensional analysis was used for the higher p(T) data. We find that the source-size parameters are consistent with the m(T) scaling curve observed in pion-correlation measurements in the same collisions, and that the duration time of kaon emission is consistent with zero within the experimental sensitivity.  相似文献

We present recent results on single particle transverse momentum distributions of pions, kaons and protons, measured in CERN Experiment NA44, of 200 AGeV/c S+S and 158 AGeV/c Pb+Pb central collisions. By comparing these data with thermal and transport models, freeze-out parameters like the temperatureT fo and the chemical potentials (μ q ,μ s ) are extracted and discussed.  相似文献

A gamma-spectrometric method independent of radon escape for the determination of U and Ra in rock samples based on the 63 keV and 1001 keV as well as 185 keV lines is described and discussed. A simple experimental procedure is given for the determination of the self-absorption factor. The method has been applied for the determination of uranium and radium in rock samples from Morocco containing uranium between 17.5 wt.% and 0.026 wt.%. The limits of determination, at 95% confidence level and 10% standard deviation, for the 63 keV and 1001 keV lines were found to be 0.075 wt.% and 0.62 wt.%, respectively, using samples of 6 g and chosing 1 h measuring time.  相似文献

Parton energy loss effects in heavy-ion collisions are studied with the Monte Carlo program PQM (Parton Quenching Model) constructed using the BDMPS quenching weights and a realistic collision geometry. The merit of the approach is that it contains only one free parameter that is tuned to the high-p t nuclear modification factor measured in central Au-Au collisions at GeV. Once tuned, the model is consistently applied to all the high-p t observables at 200 GeV: the centrality evolution of the nuclear modification factor, the suppression of the away-side jet-like correlations, and the azimuthal anisotropies for these observables. Predictions for the leading-particle suppression at nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energies of 62.4 and 5500 GeV are presented. The limits of the eikonal approximation in the BDMPS approach, when applied to finite-energy partons, are discussed.Received: 25 June 2004, Revised: 3 November 2004, Published online: 17 December 2004  相似文献
