It is theoretically predicted that the Nernst coefficient is strongly suppressed and the thermal conductance is quantized in the quantum Hall regime of the two-dimensional electron gas. The Nernst effect is the induction of a thermomagnetic electromotive force in the y-direction under a temperature bias in the x-direction and a magnetic field in the z-direction. The quantum nature of the Nernst effect is analyzed with the use of a circulating edge current and is demonstrated numerically. The present system is a physical realization of the non-equilibrium steady state.  相似文献

Thin film waveguides of germanosilicate glass are fabricated byrf-sputtering. Second-order nonlinearity ofd 33=3.2 pm/V is obtained from electrically poled film, and the lifetime of the nonlinearity is found to be310 years. The poled channel-waveguide is prepared and the Cerenkov-type phase-matched frequency doubling is successfully observed.  相似文献

Abstract

Various N-acyldiphenylsulfilimines (1a-k) were found to undergo photolysis in argon atmosphere, to afford the corresponding isocyanates, diphenyl sulfide and diphenyl disulfide. Attempts to trap intramolecularly the acylnitrene with olefinic linkage or sulfide afforded small amounts of the trapped products, whereas photolysis of N-mesitoyldiphenyl-sulfilimine (Ia) afforded a C–H inserted product of the nitrene in a substantial yield together with the isocyanate. Benzophenone-sensitized photolysis of Ia indicates that the nitrene generated is a singlet species.  相似文献

A novel 2,6-anthrylene-linked bis(m-terphenylcarboxylic acid) strand ( 1 ) self-associates into a racemic double-helix. In the presence of chiral mono- and diamines, either a right- or left-handed double-helix was predominantly induced by chiral amines sandwiched between the carboxylic acid strands with accompanying stacking of the two prochiral anthracene linker units in an enantiotopic face-selective way, as revealed by circular dichroism and NMR spectral analyses. The photoirradiation of the optically active double helices complexed with chiral amines proceeded in a diastereo- (anti or syn) and enantiodifferentiating way to afford the chiral anti-photodimer with up to 98 % enantiomeric excess when (R)-phenylethylamine was used as a chiral double-helix inducer. The resulting optically active anti-photodimer can recognize the chirality of amines and diastereoselectively complex with chiral amines.  相似文献

1,1-Dimethyldibenzo[bc,fg][1,4]silathiapentalene ( 1a ) was prepared by treatment of 1,9-bis(methyl-sulfinyl)dibenzothiophene with EtMgBr or of dibenzothiophene with n-butyllithium, and then with dimethyl dichlorosilane. The structure of 4,4-dimethyl-dibenzo[bc,fg][1,4]silathiapentalene 1-oxide ( 2 ), obtained by oxidation of compound 1a with mCPBA, was determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The structure of compound 2 determined experimentally was compared to the structure obtained by semiempirical molecular orbital calculations (AM1). The MO calculations of compound 1a and its phenyl analog 1b were also performed by AM1 to evaluate their structures. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Diaryl tellurides undergo rapid ligand exchange and disproportionation reactions on treatment with phenyllithium at −78°C. Triarylteliuranes [10-Te-3(C3)] Li+ were identified as discrete intermediates during the reactions by 125Te, 1H, 13C, and CH-COSY NMR studies.  相似文献
