A static solution to Einstein's equations, which is asymptotically flat near spatial infinity, is shown to be asymptotically Schwarzschildian. As an application of this result we prove a technical lemma on the existence of asymptotically flat harmonic coordinates near infinity.  相似文献

We prove that the space-time developments of generic solutions of the vacuum constraint Einstein equations do not possess any global or local Killing vectors, when Cauchy data are prescribed on an asymptotically flat Cauchy surface, or on a compact Cauchy surface with mean curvature close to a constant, or for CMC asymptotically hyperbolic initial data sets. More generally, we show that nonexistence of global symmetries implies, generically, non-existence of local ones. Within a scalar model theory of gravity, where the interaction between particles is given by the half-retarded plus half-advanced solution of the scalar wave equation, we consider an N-body problem: We investigate configurations of N particles which form an equilateral N angle and are in helical motion about their common center. We prove that there exists a unique equilibrium configuration and compute the equilibrium radius explicitly in a post-Newtonian expansion.  相似文献

Transverse-tracefree (TT-) tensors on (R 3,g ab), withg ab an asymptotically flat metric of fast decay at infinity, are studied. When the source tensor from which these TT tensors are constructed has fast fall-off at infinity, TT tensors allow a multipole-type expansion. Wheng ab has no conformal Killing vectors (CKV's) it is proven that any finite but otherwise arbitrary set of moments can be realized by a suitable TT tensor. A rapid, selective and sensitive UPLC‐UV method was developed and validated for the quantitative analysis of carbamazepine and its epoxide metabolite in rat plasma. A relatively small volume of plasma sample (200 μL) is required for the described analytical method. The method includes simple protein precipitation, liquid–liquid extraction, evaporation, and reconstitution steps. Samples were separated on a Waters Acquity UPLC BEH C18 column (1.7 µm, 2.1 × 100 mm) with a gradient mobile phase consisted of 60:40 going to 40:60 (v/v) water–acetonitrile at a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min. The total run time was as low as 6 min, representing a significant improvement in comparison to existing methods. Excellent linearity (r2 > 0.999) was achieved over a wide concentration range. Close to complete recovery, short analysis time, high stability, accuracy, precision and reproducibility, and low limit of quantitation were demonstrated. Finally, we successfully applied this analytical method to a pre‐clinical oral pharmacokinetic study, revealing the plasma profiles of both carbamazepine and carbamazepine‐10,11‐epoxide following oral administration of carbamazepine to rats. The advantages demonstrated in this work make this analytical method both time‐ and cost‐efficient approach for drug and metabolite monitoring in the pre‐clinical/clinical laboratory. We develop a treatment of bosonic strings on a general curved background in which the volume element and the coordinates of the worldsheet are related in a similar way as canonically conjugate quantities in mechanics. The resultant formalism is a particular variant of the multi-phase-space approach to classical field theory put forward by Kijowski, Tulczyjew, and others. We study conservation laws within this framework and find that all conserved quantities are related to point symmetries, i.e., isometries of the underlying spacetime. Thus, the symmetries of relativistic mechanics coming from Killing tensors have no analogue here. We furthermore deduce from the present scheme the covariant version of the usual phase space.  相似文献

We study the problem of motion of a relativistic, ideal elastic solid with free surface boundary by casting the equations in material form (“Lagrangian coordinates”). By applying a basic theorem due to Koch, we prove short-time existence and uniqueness for solutions close to a trivial solution. This trivial, or natural, solution corresponds to a stress-free body in rigid motion.  相似文献
