In this paper, we consider nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equations, both in the anomalous and normal dispersive regimes, which govern the propagation of a single field in a fiber medium with phase modulation and fibre gain (or loss). The integrability conditions are arrived from linear eigen value problem. The variable transformations which connect the integrable form of modified NLS equations are presented. We succeed in Hirota bilinearzing the equations and on solving, exact bright and dark soliton solutions are obtained. From the results, we show that the soliton is alive, i.e. pulse area can be conserved by the inclusion of gain (or loss) and phase modulation effects.  相似文献

A software package for analyzing and comparing optimization methods is presented. This package displays, using different colors, the regions of convergence to the minima of a given function for various optimization methods. It displays also the rate of their convergence as well as the regions of divergence of these methods. Obliquely propagating altra-low-frequency dust-electromagnetic waves in a self-gravitating, warm, magnetized, two fluid dusty plasma system have been investigated. Two special cases, namely, dust-Alfvén mode propagating parallel to the external magnetic field and dustmagnetosonic mode propagating perpendicular to the external magnetic field have also been considered. It has been shown that effects of self-gravitational field, dust fluid temperature, and obliqueness significantly modify the dispersion properties of these ultra-low-frequency dust-electromagnetic modes. It is also found that in parallel propagating dust-Alfvén mode these effects play no role, but in obliquely propagating dust-Alfvén mode or perpendicular propagating dust-magnetosonic mode the effect of self-gravitational field plays destabilizing role whereas the effect of dust/ion fluid temperature plays stabilizing role.  相似文献

A problem concerning the perturbation of roots of a system of homogeneous algebraic equations is investigated. The question of conservation and decomposition of a multiple root into simple roots are discussed. The main theorem on the conservation of the number of roots of a deformed (not necessarily homogeneous) algebraic system is proved by making use of a homotopy connecting initial roots of the given system and roots of a perturbed system. Hereby we give an estimate on the size of perturbation that does not affect the number of roots. Further on we state the existence of a slightly deformed system that has the same number of real zeros as the original system in taking the multiplicities into account. We give also a result about the decomposition of multiple real roots into simple real roots.

We propose a new Memetic Particle Swarm Optimization scheme that incorporates local search techniques in the standard Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, resulting in an efficient and effective optimization method, which is analyzed theoretically. The proposed algorithm is applied to different unconstrained, constrained, minimax and integer programming problems and the obtained results are compared to that of the global and local variants of Particle Swarm Optimization, justifying the superiority of the memetic approach.  相似文献

One of the most commonly encountered approaches for the solution of unconstrained global optimization problems is the application of multi-start algorithms. These algorithms usually combine already computed minimizers and previously selected initial points, to generate new starting points, at which, local search methods are applied to detect new minimizers. Multi-start algorithms are usually terminated once a stochastic criterion is satisfied. In this paper, the operators of the Differential Evolution algorithm are employed to generate the starting points of a global optimization method with dynamic search trajectories. Results for various well-known and widely used test functions are reported, supporting the claim that the proposed approach improves drastically the performance of the algorithm, in terms of the total number of function evaluations required to reach a global minimizer.  相似文献

Summary A rapid Generalized Method of Bisection for solving Systems of Non-linear Equations is presented in this paper, based on the non-zero value of the topological degree. Further, while the method does not compute the topological degree, it takes care of keeping its non-zero value during the bisections and thus results in a fast bisection algorithm.  相似文献
