A measurement of the analyzing power A(y) of the p-->d--> (p p) + n reaction was carried out at the ANKE spectrometer at COSY at beam energies of 0.5 and 0.8 GeV by detection of a fast forward proton pair of small excitation energy E(pp) < 3 MeV. The S-wave dominance in the fast diproton is experimentally demonstrated in this reaction. While at T(p) = 0.8 GeV the measured analyzing power almost vanishes, it rises to nearly unity at T(p) = 0.5 GeV for neutrons emitted at theta(c.m.)(n) = 167 degrees. The results are compared with a model taking into account one-nucleon exchange, single scattering, and Delta(1232) excitation in the intermediate state. The model describes fairly well the unpolarized cross section obtained earlier and the analyzing power at 0.8 GeV; it fails to reproduce A(y) at 0.5 GeV.  相似文献

The one-proton knockout channel from 6He (240 MeV/u) impinging on a carbon target has been investigated. The triton fragments originating from this channel were detected in coincidence with the two neutrons. A broad structure, peaked at 3 MeV above the t+2n threshold, is observed in the t+n+n-relative energy spectrum. It is shown that this structure is mainly due to a I(pi)=1/2(+) resonance as expected for the 5H ground state, and from the observed angular and energy correlations, being used for the first time in 5H studies, that the neutrons to a large extent occupy the p shell.  相似文献

Aγ-γ coincidence technique has been developed forg-factor measurements of short-lived nuclear states. The method involvesγ-detection in 4π geometry as well as transient magnetic fields and the recoil-distance technique. A first experiment was performed for the isotope160Yb produced in the reaction64Ni(100Mo, 4n) at 430 MeV beam energy. The valueg=? 0.23(31) of the 14+ yrast state, which is compatible with zero, establishes thevi 13/2 quasiparticle structure to be responsible for the first backbend. A meang-factor for low spin states around the 4+ state,g=+0.48(26) was also derived as well as lifetimes for yrast states up toI π=8+.  相似文献

Yrast states in the nucleus 220Ra were studied by means of the 208Pb(14C, 2n) reaction at 61 and 64 MeV. A staggering sequence of levels of positive and negative parity has been observed up to spin and parity Iπ = 16+ (18 +) and from Iπ = 5? to Iπ = 17?, respectively. These states are connected by strong E1 transitions competing with the stretched E2 transitions, the B(E1)B(E2) ratio being ~ 10 ?6 fm?2. The ratio of the excitation energy of the 4+ state to that of the 2+ state is close to the vibrational limit. The moment of inertia associated with the negative-parity yrast states is slightly increasing with the rotational frequency ω. It is considerably higher than that of the positive-parity states at lower spins, the difference decreasing monotonically with increasing ω. The data are discussed with reference to the octupole vibrational picture as well as to the results of recent models predicting reflection-asymmetric shapes in the Ra-Th region.  相似文献

Collective properties of206,208Pb have been investigated with gamma-ray spectroscopy using nuclear and electromagnetic excitation by208Pb projectiles. From the measurement of particle-particle- and particle-particle- coincidences a new energy level in208Pb at 5.683 MeV was observed and the data suggest an interpretation as a 2-phonon octupole vibrational state with spin 4+ or 6+. For this state one finds the same dynamical deformation parameter 3 as for the first-excited collective 3 state. The results are compared to predictions of models which consider, in particular, the aspects of the quadrupole interaction and the interaction of the 2-particle pairing vibration with the 2-phonon octupole vibration. For the206Pb+208Pb system at 6.2 MeV/u the nuclear potential could be determined from the measured inelastic cross sections.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. P.
