Theoretical Research on a Kind of Quantum Left-handed Metamaterial

Recently, research on left-handed materials （LHMs） has attracted considerable attentions. The LHMs are a kind of metameterial which have negative permittivity and negative permeability, which lead to negative refractive index in a frequency range. The LHMs that have been available so far are in the microwave range and are usually composed of classical particles, such as split-ring resonators. Some quantum phenomena such as spontaneous emission of atoms in the LHMs which are considered to be ＇classical background＇ have also been investigated. Many potential applications of LHMs have been proposed, such as superlenses which, in principle, can achieve arbitrary subwavelength resolution.     

DUAL FUNCTIONALS OF SAID-BEZIER TYPE GENERALIZED BALL BASES OVER TRIANGLE DOMAIN AND THEIR APPLICATION

A family of Said-Bézier type generalized Ball (SBGB) bases and surfaces with a parameter H over triangular domain is introduced, which unifies Bézier surface and Said-Ball surface and includes several intermediate surfaces. To convert different bases and surfaces, the dual functionals of bases are presented. As an application of dual functionals, the subdivision formulas for surfaces are established.     

PBVP for integro-differential equations of volterra type in B.S.

In this paper, we study the PBVP for integro-differential equations of Volterra type in Banach spaces. By developing monotone iterative technique for the PBVP, we get some results concerning the existence of extremal solutions, which are the limits of monotone sequences.The project supported by the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province.     

Field Quantization and Spontaneous Emission in Left-handed Material

These metameterials have many novel properties such as inverse light pressure, and reverse Doppler effect, which lead to many potential applications of LHMs such as superlenses which, in principle, can achieve arbitrary subwavelength resolution. However, though the properties mentioned above are seen to be classical, the quantum phenomena in LHMs have also attracted attentions such as the modified spontaneous emission of atoms in LHME.     

间位取代四苯基卟啉铁(Ⅲ)的紫外可见光谱及其与二乙胺轴配反应的研究

研究了二氯甲烷溶液中二乙胺(L)与氯合(meso-四-间甲基苯基卟啉)铁(Ⅲ)的轴向配位反应.用光谱法测得不同温度下反应的平衡常数,求得(m-CH₃)TPPFe(Ⅲ)Cl+L=(m-CH₃)TPPFe(Ⅲ)Cl·L反应的标准摩尔焓和摩尔熵.同时,对反应的动力学与反应机理进行了研究.也研究了反应物和产物的紫外可见光谱,并讨论了取代基及轴向配体对铁卟啉紫外可见光谱的影响。

Facile Synthesis of Alkylidene Phthalides by Rhodium-Catalyzed Domino C−H Acylation/Annulation of Benzamides with Aliphatic Carboxylic Acids

The Rh-catalyzed ortho-C(sp²)−H functionalization of 8-aminoquinoline-derived benzamides with aliphatic acyl fluorides generated in situ from the corresponding acids has been developed. This reaction initiated with 8-aminoquinoline-directed ortho-C(sp²)−H acylation, which was accompanied by subsequent intramolecular nucleophilic acyl substitution of amide group to produce alkylidene phthalides This approach exhibits high stereo-selectivity for Z-isomer products, and tolerates a variety of functional groups as well as aliphatic carboxylic acids with diverse structural scaffolds.     

Issue Information

Three‐dimensional direct numerical simulation results of flow past a circular cylinder are influenced by numerical aspects, for example the spanwise domain length and the lateral boundary condition adopted for the simulation. It is found that inappropriate numerical set‐up, which restricts the development of intrinsic wake structure, leads to an over‐prediction of the onset point of the secondary wake instability (Re_cr). A best practice of the numerical set‐up is presented for the accurate prediction of Re_cr by direct numerical simulation while minimizing the computational cost. The cylinder span length should be chosen on the basis of the intrinsic wavelength of the wake structure to be simulated, whereas a long span length is not necessary. For the wake transitions above Re_cr, because the wake structures no longer follow particular wavelengths but become disordered and chaotic, a span length of more than 10 cylinder diameters (approximately three times the intrinsic wavelength) is recommended for the simulations to obtain wake structures and hydrodynamic forces that are not strongly restricted by the numerical set‐up. The performances of the periodic and symmetry lateral boundary conditions are compared and discussed. The symmetry boundary condition is recommended for predicting Re_cr, while the periodic boundary condition is recommended for simulating the wake structures above Re_cr. The general conclusions drawn through a circular cylinder are expected to be applicable to other bluff body configurations. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
