Note on QCD corrections to hadronic Higgs decay

The O(_s) QCD correction to the hadronic decay of a scalar Higgs boson, for which contradicting results have been reported, is calculated. Our result is in agreement with that of Braaten and Leveille but disagrees with that of Janot. The possible origin of the discrepancy is discussed. The total hadronic decay rate and the differential rate to q g of a pseudoscalar Higgs boson are also presented.     

Parity-odd asymmetries in W-jet events at the fermilab tevatron

Parity-odd asymmetries in the decay angular distribution of a W boson produced with a hard jet in pp[over ] collisions arise only from QCD rescattering effects. If observed, these asymmetries will provide a first demonstration that perturbative QCD calculation is valid for the absorptive part of scattering amplitudes. We propose a simple observable to measure these asymmetries and perform realistic Monte Carlo simulations at energies reached at the Fermilab Tevatron. It is shown that the Tevatron run II should provide sufficient statistics to test the prediction.     

Soft-breaking correction to hard supersymmetric relations QCD correction to squark decay

Supersymmetric relations between dimensionless couplings receive finite correction at one-loop when supersymmetry is broken softly. We calculate theO (α _s) correction to the squark decay width to a quark and an electroweak gaugino, which is found to be nonvanishing. Logarithmic correction appears when the gluino is heavy.
