Noncollinear difference frequency mixing of dye laser and Nd:YAG second harmonic (fundamental) radiation from a commercial laser system is employed for the generation of 2.7–5.3 μm (1.6–1.7 μm) radiations in a flux-grown KTiOAsO1 crystal. The generated radiation is used to scan the methane absorption in the fundamental (v 3) and its first overtone (2v 3) band at pressure 90 torr in a laboratory made single pass gas cell of length 33 cm.  相似文献

Angular distributions of six polarization transfer coefficients Kxx′(θ), kxz′(θ), Kzx?(θ), Kzz?(θ), and Kyyy?(θ); of the four analyzing powers Ay(θ), Axx(θ), Ayy(θ), and Azz(θ); and of the polarization function Pý(θ), have been measured atEd = 10.00 MeV for the reaction 2H(d, n)3He. Measurements were made for neutron lab angles between 0° and 80° in 10° steps. Additionally the y-axis associated quantities were measured at θ1ab = 99°. Most of the measured coefficients are large at some angles and all show considerable variation with angle.  相似文献

Segmented polyurethanes (SPU) were synthesized with polyethylene oxide (PEO), polypropylene oxide, or polytetramethylene oxide as the “soft segment,” from the respective polyether diols, of which molecular weight varied from 600 to 2000. The “hard segment” was created from ethylene diamine and tolylene diisocyanate or 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate. Platelet activation was assessed using columns packed with beads coated with each of the SPU by solutions from which the solvent was subsequently evaporated. Citrated whole human blood was passed through the columns and the platelet count in aliquots leaving the columns was compared with the platelet count in blood that had not contacted the column surface. By this method the fraction of platelets retained in the column averaged for several donors, ρ, was determined. In parallel experiments, SPU surfaces formed under identical conditions by evaporation of solvent were examined by X-ray electron spectroscopy for carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen content of the surface. The carbon C1s spectra proved to be particularly useful, when analyzed for the components with peaks respectively at 286 eV (carbon not bonded to an ether oxygen) and at 288 eV (carbon bonded to an ether oxygen). The platelet retention index ρ was found to increase nearly linearly with the ratio of the 286-eV intensity to the 288-eV intensity, and extrapolated to nearly zero for zero value of the intensity ratio, which would correspond to amorphous PEO, suggesting that if a surface were only amorphous PEO it would be remarkably inactive toward platelets. In contrast, nitrogen spectra show no systematic relationship with ρ.  相似文献

The longitudinal polarization of neutrons has been measured for the reaction T→p, →n)3He with the incident proton beam longitudinally polarized. Measurements were performed at 0° for proton energies from 4 to 15 MeV and an angular distribution was measured at 10 MeV. The data determine the polarization transfer coefficient Kzz, which is equivalent to the Wolfenstein A′ parameter for nucleon-nucleon scattering. The quantity Kzz at 0° increases from about 0.3 at 3 MeV incident energy to 0.9 at 9 MeV, and then decreases to 0.5 at 15 MeV. The data are computed with R-matrix calculations which reproduce the qualitative shape of the data at 0° and the angular distribution at 10 MeV.  相似文献

A semiconductor laser including two laterally coupled waveguides, in which one of the waveguides includes a partially reflecting surface (an internal mirror) between its facets, is analyzed. The internal mirror inserts longitudinal coupling into the system. The spectrum of the Fabry-Perot modes exhibits modulation in the gain required for lasing threshold, with a periodicity that depends on the longitudinal position of the internal mirror. The combined coupled-cavity effect may explain the observed gain spectrum in GaN lasers.  相似文献
