Criteria for entrapped gas under a drop on an ultrahydrophobic surface   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Ultrahydrophobicity of a rough surface is mainly attributed to the entrapped gas under a drop. Two criteria were proposed for the entrapped gas: an intruding angle criterion and an intruding depth criterion. These two criteria are that the intruding angle must be less than the maximum asperity slope angle and the intruding depth must be less than the height of the asperities. The intruding angle is determined by the true contact angle, the surface geometry, and the drop size. The intruding angle is directly proportional to the true contact angle, and it increases with an increase of the fractional area of the liquid-gas interface under the drop and with a decrease of the linear dimension of the three-phase contact line on the asperities. The effect of the drop size on the intruding angle is induced by Laplace and hydrostatic pressures. The intruding depth increases with an increase of the intruding angle and the distance between the asperities. The proposed criteria were evaluated using experiment data from the literature. Comparison between the experiment and calculation results showed that the experiment data supported the theory.  相似文献

A fractional-order weighted complex network consists of a number of nodes, which are the fractional-order chaotic systems, and weighted connections between the nodes. In this paper, we investigate generalized chaotic synchronization of the general fractional-order weighted complex dynamical networks with nonidentical nodes. The well-studied integer-order complex networks are the special cases of the fractional-order ones. Based on the stability theory of linear fraction-order systems, the nonlinear controllers are designed to make the fractional-order complex dynamical networks with distinct nodes asymptotically synchronize onto any smooth goal dynamics. Numerical simulations are provided to verify the theoretical results. It is worth noting that the synchronization effect sensitively depends on both the fractional order ?? and the feedback gain k i . Moreover, generalized synchronization of the fractional-order weighted networks can still be achieved effectively with the existence of noise perturbation.  相似文献

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is an important engineering material with a low coefficient of friction but a high rate of wear. As a semi‐crystalline polymer, its wear resistance is related to its micro‐morphology. Friction and wear properties of semi‐crystalline non‐spherulitic PTFE have been widely studied, but no investigation is reported about tribological properties of spherulitic PTFE due to difficulties in finding such properties. In this paper, friction and wear properties of PTFE with spherulitic micro‐morphology are studied for the first time. The results show that, first, under the same experimental condition, when two kinds of PTFE are rubbed against the steel disc, the number and size of debris of spherulitic PTFE are much less and smaller than that of debris of PTFE without spherulitic crystals. This means that the wear resistance of spherulitic PTFE is better than that of semi‐crystalline PTFE without spherulitic micro‐morphology. Second, the friction property of spherulitic PTFE is also different from that of PTFE without spherulitic crystals. Finally, the friction and wear mechanisms of spherulitic PTFE and non‐spherulitic PTFE are compared.  相似文献

The electronic properties of passive film formed on nickel in bicarbonate/carbonate buffer solution were studied by electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) and Mott‐Schottky plot. The film composition was analyzed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that passive film exhibited p‐type semi‐conductive character, and the acceptor density (NA) decreased with increasing potential, prolonging time, decreasing temperature, increasing pH value and decreasing chloride/sulfur ions concentration. The transfer resistance and film resistance increased with the above factors changing. XPS results showed that passive film was composed of NiO and a little amount of Ni2O3.  相似文献

Liver cancer is generally considered the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) contributes to more than 90% of liver cancers. The altered lipid metabolism for rapid cancer cell growth and tumor formation has been frequently proven. In this study, an ambient ionization mass spectrometry technique, rapid evaporative ionization mass spectrometry (REIMS) using a monopolar electric knife, called iKnife, was systematically optimized and employed for ex vivo analysis of 12 human HCC tumor tissue specimens together with the paired paracancerous tissue (PT) and noncancerous liver tissue (NCT) specimens. Nine free fatty acids and 34 phospholipids were tentatively identified according to their extract masses and/or tandem mass spectra. With the help of statistical methods, 7 free fatty acids and 10 phospholipids were distributed differently in 3 types of liver tissue specimens (95% confidence interval). The box plots showed these characterized lipid metabolites varied in PT, HCC, and NCT. Compared with PT and NCT, the upregulations of four common fatty acids FA 18:0, FA 20:4, FA 16:0, and FA 18:1, together with phospholipids PC 36:1, PE 38:3, PE (18:0/20:4), PA (O-36:1), PC (32:1), PC 32:0, PE 34:0, and PC (16:0/18:1), were found in HCC specimens. The sensitivity and specificity of the established statistic model for real-time HCC tumor diagnosis were 100% and 90.5%, respectively. This study demonstrated that the described REIMS technique is a potential method for rapid lipidomic analysis and characterization of HCC tumor tissue.  相似文献

Community structure has been found to exist ubiquitously in many different kinds of real world complex networks. Most of the previous literature ignores edge directions and applies methods designed for community finding in undirected networks to find communities. Here, we address the problem of finding communities in directed networks. Our proposed method uses PageRank random walk induced network embedding to transform a directed network into an undirected one, where the information on edge directions is effectively incorporated into the edge weights. Starting from this new undirected weighted network, previously developed methods for undirected network community finding can be used without any modification. Moreover, our method improves on recent work in terms of community definition and meaning. We provide two simulated examples, a real social network and different sets of power law benchmark networks, to illustrate how our method can correctly detect communities in directed networks.  相似文献

The adsorption between a liquid drop and a micro-particle in an air or an air bubble and a micro-particle in water is dominated by liquid-solid or air-solid interfacial tension and wetting area of the liquid or air on the particle surface. The wetting area is determined by the spreading of the liquid drop or the bubble on the micro-particle. To explore this spreading, a wetting model of a fluid phase on a spherical particle was built. According to the theoretical results, the contact angle is constant when a fluid phase spreads on a spherical solid surface; the micro-particle can not submerge under a fluid when only interfacial tensions are involved and the wetting is not a complete wetting. The corresponding experiments were performed to confirm the theoretical results.  相似文献
