The EXAFS structure measured above the K-edge of Fe in the disordered Fe80B20 alloy is reported. Complete agreement is obtained with X-ray diffraction results in the position of the first neighbours coordination shell when the asymmetry of the Radial Distribution Function (R.D.F.) into the EXAFS formula is included. A Finney-like R.D.F. is used to describe the pair distribution of these metallic glasses. The weak temperature dependence of the spectra is discussed in terms of the structural properties of these amorphous alloys.  相似文献

This Letter reports on the first observation of elastic and magnetic dynamics of ordered arrays of permalloy nanodots excited by low-intensity 120 fs light pulses. The first order of the diffraction pattern, generated by the probe beam in a pump-probe configuration, is used for time-resolved reflectivity and time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect measurements. The nonadiabatical absorption of the pump triggers an acoustic standing wave, detected by the reflected probe signal, with a frequency related to the array wave vector. Instead, the magneto-optical signal exhibits, on the nanosecond time scale, the signature of the heat-exchange diffusion processes. In addition, a clear oscillation of the magnetic signal, at a frequency close to the frequency of the acoustic wave, is unambiguously detected. Finally, the interplay between the elastic and magnetic dynamics is analyzed and interpreted.  相似文献

The ultrafast electron and spin dynamics of Co films was investigated using a femto-second pump-probe technique. The samples were magnetically characterized by means of magnetooptical Kerr effect and non-optical magnetometers, i.e. superconductive quantum interference device and alternating gradient field magnetometer. Time evolution of both, Kerr rotation and ellipticity, was measured at different points of the static hysteresis cycle. This allowed separating magnetic and non-magnetic contributions to the signal. The sample magnetization was found to drop within 200 fs, following the pulse cross-correlation trace, while the magnetization recovery time was found to last few picoseconds.  相似文献

We present the novel application of a relatively new technique (nanolithography) to the study of quasicrystalline surface oxidation. The 5-fold surface of an AlPdMn alloy was oxidized using a metallized AFM tip. The electrochemical nature of this process was confirmed by investigating the influence of humidity and polarity of the applied voltage on the quasicrystalline oxide. Oxides of different thickness and adhesive properties were created by altering the applied voltage and the humidity during the lithographic process. The technique can be used in an exhaustive study of properties of the various types of oxides that form on the AlPdMn surface and the preliminary results of one such study are reported.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] A general synthetic strategy for the preparation of functionalized bicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes is described. The new approach employs a cross metathesis step designed to functionalize the appropriate terminal olefin of the bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane precursor and a carbene-mediated intramolecular cyclopropanation reaction on the corresponding diazo intermediate. This combined methodology allowed the diastereoselective introduction of chemically diverse substituents at the tip of the cyclopropane group, except in cases where the substituents consisted of electron-withdrawing groups where a competing [3 + 2] cycloaddition predominated.  相似文献
