Er3+-doped Y2Ti2O7 nanocrystals were fabricated by the sol-gel method. While the annealing temperature exceeds 757 °C, amorphous pyrochlore phase ErxY2−xTi2O7 transfers to well-crystallized nanocrystals, and the average crystal size increases from ∼70 to ∼180 nm under 800-1000 °C/1 h annealing. ErxY2−xTi2O7 nanocrystals absorbing 980 nm photons can produce the upconversion (526, 547, and 660 nm; 2H11/24I15/2, 4S3/24I15/2, and 4F9/24I15/2, respectively) and Stokes (1528 nm; 4I13/24I15/2) photoluminescence (PL). The infrared PL decay curve is single-exponential for Er3+ (5 mol%)-doped Y2Ti2O7 nanocrystals but slightly nonexponential for Er3+ (10 mol%)-doped Y2Ti2O7 nanocrystals. For 5 and 10 mol% doping concentrations, the mechanism of up-converted green light is the two-photon excited-state absorption. Much stronger intensity of red light relative to green light was observed for the sample with 10 mol% dopant. This phenomenon can be attributed to the reduced distance between Er3+-Er3+ ions, resulting in the enhancement of the energy-transfer upconversion and cross-relaxation mechanisms.  相似文献

This work presents the unique features of a novel configuration of a synchronized dual-polarity time-of-flight mass spectrometer for comprehensive surface imaging. Mass spectrometry imaging of surface samples covering positive and negative ion modes is difficult due to rapid signal depletion. This limitation is overcome here by dual-polarity time-of-flight mass spectrometry (DP-TOFMS) via two separate TOF mass analyzers that are installed above a sample surface. The new instrument eliminates the polarity bias characteristic of most mass spectrometers, which is important for the analysis of samples with diverse physical and chemical properties. The experimental results show for the first time that the spatial distribution of positive and negative ions of various photolabile samples can be distinguished, including pigments and conventional matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization samples. The different positive and negative ion distributions suggest that accurate quantitative information can only be obtained when the entire sample region is examined by DP-TOFMS, which was unfeasible in the past. Such a comprehensive diagnostic method is essential for the molecular imaging of trace compositions in delicate biological tissues, as demonstrated here with a Phyllanthus urinaria leaf that only produced ion signals in the first examination and not in the subsequent measurements.  相似文献

We demonstrate the theoretical and experimental results of using a single prism in the rapid-scanning optical delay line of an optical coherence tomography (OCT) system for compensating the mismatches of the first- and second-order group delay dispersion (GDD) between the reference and sample arms. The analytical expressions for the first- and second-order GDD are derived based on the typically designed system configuration. Numerical results in varying various parameters are shown. An optimized set of parameters for efficient dispersion compensation in a practical fiber-based OCT system is obtained. The numerical result of the dispersion compensation is demonstrated. Also, the experimental implementation of such a dispersion compensation method is illustrated with the conditions similar to the numerical calculations. Recently, Li et al. [Phys. Rev. A 82(2):022303, 2010] presented two semi-quantum secret sharing (SQSS) protocols using Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-like states. The proposed schemes are quite practical because only the secret dealer needs to be equipped with advanced quantum devices such as quantum memory, whereas the other agents can merely perform classical operations to complete the secret sharing. However, the present study demonstrates the existence of a security pitfall in the eavesdropping check phase of both the schemes, which can lead to an intercept-resend attack and a Trojan horse attack on the two schemes by a dishonest agent, to determine the other agent’s shadow and consequently derive the master key of the SQSS. This contradicts the security requirement of QSS. Fortunately, two possible solutions are proposed herein to eliminate this security pitfall.  相似文献

The technique, nanoparticles-induced vertical alignment (NIVA), was applied to fabricate a guest-host liquid crystal display (GH-LCD) without conventional alignment layers. The GH-LCD produced by NIVA exhibited a high reflectance of approximately 59% in the voltage-off state and a low threshold voltage of approximately 2.1 V(rms). NIVA is very suitable to be applied for fabricating a plastic LCD requiring a low temperature process, and a flexible timepiece by using NIVA was demonstrated.  相似文献

A series of donor–acceptor–donor triazine-based molecules with thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) properties were synthesized to obtain highly efficient blue-emitting OLEDs with non-doped emitting layers (EMLs). The targeted molecules use a triazine core as the electron acceptor, and a benzene ring as the conjugated linker with different electron donors to alternate the energy level of the HOMO to further tune the emission color. The introduction of long alkyl chains on the triazine core inhibits the unwanted intermolecular D –D/A–A-type π–π interactions, resulting in the intermolecular D–A charge transfer. The weak aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) effect caused by the suppressed intermolecular D –D/A–A-type π–π interaction further enhances the emission. The crowded molecular structure allows the electron donor and acceptor to be nearly orthogonal, thereby reducing the energy gap between triplet and singlet excited states (ΔEST). As a result, blue-emitting devices with TH-2DMAC and TH-2DPAC non-doped EMLs showed satisfactory efficiencies of 12.8 % and 15.8 %, respectively, which is one of the highest external quantum efficiency (EQEs) reported for blue TADF emitters (λpeak<475 nm), demonstrating that our tailored molecular designs are promising strategies to endow OLEDs with excellent electroluminescent performances.  相似文献

New quaternary selenides M2Sb5Bi5Se17 (M = Sn, Pb) were synthesized using solid-state sintering reactions that crystallize in the monoclinic system with C2/m (No. 12) space group with lattice parameters a = 27.914(7) Å, b = 4.0804(11) Å, c = 15.512(4) Å, and β = 114.881(9)° for M = Sn, and a = 27.987(3) Å, b = 4.1062(5) Å, c = 15.6372(19) Å, and β = 115.318(3)° for M = Pb, respectively. The crystal structure is related to a homologous series [A+22x−4B+34 Se−22x−2][B+32y−2Se−23y−3] with (x, y) = (3, 4) that contains building units of two-dimensional slabs of NaCl111-type [Sb2Bi4Se11] separated by 1D ribbons NaCl100-type [Pb2Sb3BiSe6]. The NaCl111 unit contains edge-shared octahedra filled with Sb3+ and Bi3+ cations, which are parallel and overlapped to form a step-layer 2D network stacking alone [001]. The NaCl100 type ribbons containing Pb2+ and Sb3+ in square or trigonal pyramidal environments with the general formula [M6Se6] filled in the space between 2D layers of NaCl111 units. The conductivity measurement revealed semiconducting property with band gaps of ~0.1 eV. Pb2Sb5Bi5Se17 exhibits low thermal conductivity 3,000 μW cm−1 K−1 in a temperature range of 300–480 K.  相似文献
