A study of fast neutron production in p20Ne and pp interactions at 300 GeV/c

Data on the multiplicity, momentum and angular spectra of fastp _n1 GeV/c) neutrons produced in inelastic interactions of protons with neon nuclei and protons at 300 GeV/c are presented. The experimental results obtained for p²⁰Ne interactions are compared with predictions of the additive quark model in which the intranuclear cascading of slow particles is taken into account.We thank V. Dependence of average multiplicity on impact parameter and momentum transfer

Using a previously proposed model as a basis, an investigation is made of the functional dependence of the average multiplicity on impact parameter and momentum transfer. The results are compared with those obtained using a probabilistic approach. Investigation of inclusive production ofK 0 andK * (892)0 mesons inK + A interactions at 11.2 GeV

Inclusive production ofK ⁰ andK ^* (892)⁰ mesons inK ⁺ A-interactions (A=Be, Cu, Pb) at the energy 11.2 GeV has been investigated to study hadronisation of the leading \(\bar s\) -quark; the results are presented. Double differential cross sections d²σ/dx _f dp _t ² were measured in the region of incident particle fragmentation (0.4≦x _f ≦1,p _t ≦0.5 GeV/c). The experimental data obtained were analysed on the basis of the Lund model FRITIOF and a quark-gluon model that takes into account colour screening and hadron formation length effects. The experimental data confirm the picture of hadronisation of the leading \(\bar s\) -quark developed in the latter model.     

Multiplicity of charged particles in interactions of neutrons with protons,carbon and neon nuclei in the momentum range (1–200) GeV/c

The data on the multiplicity of charged secondaries produced in inelastic np, n¹²C and n²⁰Ne interactions in the primary momentum range (1–200) GeV/c are presented.     

Determination of Chromium in Natural Water by Stripping Voltammetry

Conditions were optimized for determining microgram amounts of chromium by stripping voltammetry with a modified carbon-paste electrode. The developed procedures were applied to the analysis of different waters. The proposed procedures exhibit high performance characteristics and ensure the determination of 9.6 × 10^–9 to 1.0 × 10^–6 M chromium.
