annihilations, leading to the production of at least one neutral K meson in the final state, have been studied in the incident momentum region of 700–760 MeV/c. Topological cross sections and cross sections for the various exclusive final states are presented. Detailed analyses of the different final states have been carried out to study the importance of resonance production and of quasi two-body and quasi three-body processes. A detailed study of the system in the four-body final states shows that the F1 meson is a spurious effect due to systematic biases. In the momentum range investigated, the C = +1 final states are strongly suppressed. 相似文献

π ? ω interference is studied in the reactions K? p → π+ π? (Λ0, ?) at 4.2 GeV/c using data from a high statistics experiments in the CERN 2m HBC. The phenomenon is analysed in terms of the conventional formalism as well as in terms of a new model for π ? ω interference proposed by Earles and Srivastava. Satisfactory agreement with the data is found for both models. The rate of ω → 2π obtained in the latter model is in agreement with the VMD (Vector Meson Dominance) prediction for ω → γ → ? → 2π. 相似文献

The reactions K?p→π?Σ+(1385) and K?p→π+Σ?(1385) are studied at 4.2 GeVc incident momentum using data from a high statistics bubble chamber experiment corresponding to ~80 events/μb. The total and differential cross sections are presented. Amplitude analyses are performed and the complete Σ±(1385) helicity spin density matrices are extracted. The results are compared with the predictions of the additive quark model and exchange degeneracy. A substantial cross section is observed for the reaction K?p→π+Σ?(1385) in the forward direction, which implies exotic meson quantum numbers in the t-channel. One possible interpretation of this process provides an explanation for the small but significant violations of the additive quark model predictions observed in the reaction K?p→π?Σ+(1385) at low four-momentum transfer. In the backward direction unnatural parity exchange is shown to give a larger contribution to K?p→Σ?(1385)π+ than natural parity exchange. 相似文献

The reactionsπ ? p→K 0(890) Λ,K 0(890)Σ 0 andK 0(890)Σ 0 are studied at an incident momentum of 3.95 GeV/c using data from a high statistics bubble chamber experiment corresponding to ~90 events/μb. The differential cross sections, density matrix elements of the vector meson and hyperon polarizations are presented. A transversity amplitude analysis is performed for each of the reactions. The results are compared with those obtained for the SU(3) related processesK ? p→?Δ, ?Σ 0, ?Σ 0(1385) and? ? Σ +(1385) and with predictions of the additive quark model and SU(6) sum rules. 相似文献

In this paper we have investigated the properties of the D(1285) and E(1420) meson resonances using the five-body annihilation channels obtained in a large statistics experiment (28 events/μb). The analysis favours the 1+ spin-parity assignment for the D(1285) meson. The dominant decay mode of the D(1285) into is found to be δ(970)π. The situation concerning the E(1420) meson remains confused although not inconsistent with previous analyses. Partial cross sections on resonance production are also presented. 相似文献

Results from a partial wave analysis of theKππ system produced in the hypercharge exchange reaction π? p→(K +π?π0)Λ at 3.95 GeV/c are presented. SignificantQ 1 production is observed but no evidence is found forQ 2 production thus confirming the results obtained in a previous decay Dalitz plot analysis of the same reaction. The relative phase behaviour of the 1+(K?) partial waves obtained with the present analysis provides additional confirmation of the resonance interpretation of theQ 1 enhancement. Information is also obtained about its production properties and the role played by the Λ polarization in the hypercharge exchange reaction. This is compared with the results obtained in the reactionK ? p→(π+π?π0)Λ at 4 GeV/c. 相似文献
