We consider the dynamics of a probe null string in the gravitational field of a closed (“thick”) null string radially collapsing in a plane. Analysis of the obtained solutions suggests that there might exist several properties of a null-string gas interesting from the cosmological standpoint, such as acceleration of expansion or contraction, a granular structure of the gas, the emergence of stable polarized states, and a domain structure. 相似文献

The shape of the exciton luminescence band of the gaseous phase of free excitons in crystal Si is investigated under high level excitation. Only the exciton-exciton interaction is considered and the influence of collisions of excitons with phonons and electrons is not taken into account. The theoretical shape of the exciton luminescence band qualitatively agrees with experiment. The process of the radiative Auger-recombination of two indirect excitons without the participation of phonons is studied in Ge and Si. The expression for the frequency and temperature dependence of the probability of radiation is obtained. The band has the asymmetrical Gaussian form with the steep short-wave tail. The predicted luminescence band in Ge is shifted at the long-wavelength side from the well-known exciton luminescence bands with participation of the phonons. The selection rules for the probability amplitude of the process under consideration are obtained. 相似文献

magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity and thermoelectric power measurements were carried out. The compounds crystallize
in the parent, Sm5Ge4-type orthorhombic structure (space group Pnma) and lanthanide contraction is observed as one moves along the rare-earth series.
The changeover from paramagnetic to antiferromagnetic phase happens at low temperatures and the ordering temperature scales
with the de Gennes factor. The electrical resistivity is metallic with a negative curvature above 100 K. Thermopower displays
a weak maximum at temperatures less than 50 K signifying the possible phonon and magnon drag effects. 相似文献

Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy was used to measure the elastic constants of bcc Ta0.33V0.67 over the temperature range 3.5–300?K; the results were compared to earlier measurements on C15 TaV2. The temperature dependence of the polycrystalline shear modulus is completely different in the two phases; that of the bcc phase decreases with temperature whereas that of the C15 phases increases in an anomalous fashion. This difference is consistent with a model involving doubly-degenerate levels at the X point of the Brillouin zone in the C15 phase with the Fermi level lying near the doubly degenerate level. This model accounted for the unusual behaviour of the C15 phase. Debye temperatures were determined from the ultrasonic measurements: 295?K for the C15 phase and 315?K for the bcc phase. 相似文献

We find a new solution describing a homogeneous stationary axially symmetric model, which, in contrast to the Gödel model, does not contain closed timelike lines. We find exact solutions corresponding to the motion of a null string in the rotating Universe and show that these solutions crucially depend on the initial data. To obtain more detailed information on the cosmic string dynamics, we performed numerical simulations indicating essential differences in the behavior of strings and null strings in the presence of global rotation of the Universe. These numerical solutions show that the string manifests involved oscillations, varies its shape with the appearance of loops and cusps, and twists into a spiral. 相似文献
