Demonstrations of cw lasing in Cr^2+:ZnSe poly-crystal are reported. The laser consists of a 1.7-mm-thick Cr^2+ :ZnSe poly-crystal disc pumped by a Tin-silica double-clad fibre laser at 2050nm. Using a concave high- reflection mirror with a radius of curvature of 500mm as the rear mirror, the laser delivers up to 1030mW of radiation around 2.367μm. 相似文献

We report a high-power thin Nd:YAG slab laser with slab dimension of 1 × 10 ×60 (mm) partially edgepumped by diode laser arrays. Passive Q-switching is achieved with a Cr^4+ :YAG microchip adopted as the saturable absorber mirror. The pulse duration is around 10 ns while the pulse repetition rate is higher than 10 kHz. The average output power of 70 W is obtained with a slope efficiency of 36%. The diffraction limited beam quality in the thickness direction is obtained by controlling the pump beam diameter inside the slab. The laser head is very compact with size of only 60 × 74×150 (mm). 相似文献

Diode-end-pumped continuous-wave(CW) Tm:YAP and Tm:YLF slab lasers are demonstrated. The a-cut Tm:YAP and Tm:YLF slabs with doping concentrations of 4 at.-% and 3.5 at.-%,respectively,are pumped by fast-axis collimated laser diodes at room temperature. The maximum CW output powers of 72 and 50.2 W are obtained from Tm:YAP and Tm:YLF,respectively,while the pump power is 220 W,corresponding to the slope efficiencies of 37.9% and 26.6%,respectively. 相似文献

Lasers from a Tm:YAG slab is end-pumped by continuous-wave output of the Tm:YAG ceramic ceramic am~e reported for the t~rst time to our best knowledge. The Tm:YAG ceramic a laser diode with central wavelength 792nm. At room temperature, the maximum power is 4.5 W, and the sloping efficiency is obtained to be 20.5%. The concept of the beam propagation factor M2 is extended for chromatic laser beams. The definition of the beam propagation factor can be generalized with the weighted effective wavelength. Using the new definition of factor M2, the propagation of chromatic beams can be analyzed by the beam propagation factor M2 as same as that of monochromatic beams.
