We report an 8-channel wavelength-mode optical pulse interleaver on a silicon photonic chip.Wavelength-and mode-division multiplexing techniques are combined to increase the repetition rate of the pulses without adding the complexity of a single dimension.The interleaver uses a cascaded Mach–Zehnder interferometer architecture as a wavelength-division(de)multiplexer,an asymmetric directional coupler as a mode(de)multiplexer,and various lengths of silicon waveguides as delay lines.A pulse sequence with a time interval of 125 ps is implemented with the repetition rate being eight times that of the initial one.The demonstrated wavelength-mode multiplexing approach opens a new route for the generation of high-speed optical pulses. 相似文献

提出一种相位自校准的光纤微波频率相位传递方案。该方案使用声表面波滤波器的冲激响应的窄带信号作为时间信号,使其与频率信号可同时使用同一波长进行传输。为实现稳定的可重复相位差,利用时间信号的往返传输时延来确定频率信号的整数个周期,并在多次重启的情况下验证了系统相位的稳定性。在60 km实验室平台上对所提方案进行验证,频率传递的稳定度优于4×10-14@1 s,5×10-17@10 000 s。系统多次重启的情况下,所获得的平均相位差最大不一致的峰峰值为0.008 rad,对应于整个周期的0.15%,可保证较高的相位一致性。 相似文献

A tunable Fabry-Perot (F-P) filter by using electro-optic polymer film is proposed. The electro-optic polymer is alkoxysilane dye (ASD)/SiO2-TiO2 hybrid material, whose electro-optic coefficient γ33 is about 5 pm/V. The wavelength tuning range of 3.8 nm under 400-V DC voltage and the nonlinear characteristic with the electric field have been obtained via electro-optical properties of polymer. Both of polymer film fabrication and F-P filter design have been introduced. The tunable F-P filter is designed for the application of two-input/two-output port wavelength-selective optical switch. 光子时间拉伸模数转换(PTS-ADC)系统利用光纤中的色散效应对被采样模拟信号进行时间拉伸和带宽压缩,可大幅提高电模数转换器(ADC)的采样率和带宽。现有的PTS-ADC系统需要很长的色散光纤作为传输介质,它所带来的损耗限制了系统信噪比(SNR)和有效比特位(ENOB)。虽可通过提高光脉冲功率来改善系统的SNR,但色散光纤中的非线性效应利用了信噪比的提升。从理论推导、数值仿真和实验验证三个方面综合分析了非线性效应对PTS-ADC系统性能的影响,包括系统功率传输函数、载波与谐波功率比(CIR)。结果表明:第一段色散光纤中的非线性效应不会使得被采样模拟信号失真,相反地会提高系统带宽和CIR;而第二段色散光纤中的非线性效应则会恶化系统性能,应予以避免。 相似文献
