平面分拆的矢量控制方法：列严格梯形平面分拆

作为移位平面分拆的自然拓广,本文引入了梯形平面分拆的概念.应用矢量控制技巧,建立了给定形状和行(列)分部约束的列严格梯形平面分拆集合之枚举函数的初等对称函数行列式表达式.其中之一的重要特例构成了关于循环对称平面分拆的Macdonald猜想的证明基础.     

Further determinant identities related to classical root systems

By introducing polynomials in matrix entries, six determinants are evaluated which may be considered extensions of Vandermonde-like determinants related to the classical root systems.     

Common extension of bilateral series for Andrews’ q-Bailey and q-Gauss sums

By means of the modified Abel lemma on summation by parts, we establish a common bilateral series extension of the q-Bailey and q-Gauss sums discovered by Andrews (Duke Math. J. 40 (1973), 525–528).     

Lyotropic liquid crystalline phases formed in an ionic liquid

Lyotropic liquid crystalline phases of an amphiphilic block copolymer are constructed and characterized in an ionic liquid with comparison of component and temperature effects.     

Irregular wavelet frames

For the non-band-limited functionΨ, a sufficient condition is presented under which $\{ \sqrt {s_j } \psi (s_j \cdot - kb)\} $ is a frame for L²(R). The stability of these frames is studied. For the wavelets frequently used in signal processing, some concrete results are given.     

Stability analysis of a Maxwell fluid in a porous medium heated from below

Based on a modified-Darcy–Brinkman–Maxwell model, stability analysis of a horizontal layer of Maxwell fluid in a porous medium heated from below is performed. By solving the eigenvalue problems, the critical Rayleigh number, wave number and frequency for overstability are determined. It is found that the critical Rayleigh number for overstability decreases as the relaxation time increases and the elasticity of a Maxwell fluid has a destabilizing effect on the fluid layer in porous media. On the other hand, the critical Rayleigh number for overstability increases by increasing the porous parameter which acts to stabilize the system. In limiting cases, some previous results for viscoelastic fluids in nonporous media are recovered from our results.     

Homogeneous approximation property for continuous wavelet transforms

The homogeneous approximation property (HAP) for frames is useful in practice and has been developed recently. In this paper, we study the HAP for the continuous wavelet transform. We show that every pair of admissible wavelets possesses the HAP in L² sense, while it is not true in general whenever pointwise convergence is considered. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the pointwise HAP to hold, which depends on both wavelets and functions to be reconstructed.     

Set partitions with restrictions

Based on finite set partitions, we introduce restrictions to the distances among the elements in each part and refine the Stirling numbers of the second kind with an extra parameter in two different ways. Combinatorial approach through distributions of “balls into boxes” is employed to establish explicit formulae.
