For bounded normal operators in Krein spaces we give a necessary and sufficient condition for strong stability. The same result for unitary operators was obtained by M.G.Krein [1] (see also [2]). For selfadjoint operators we refer to the papers of P.Jonas, H.Langer [3] and H.Langer [4].  相似文献

In this paper we define a combinatorial object called a pedigree, and study the corresponding polytope, called the pedigree polytope. Pedigrees are in one-to-one correspondence with the Hamiltonian cycles on Kn. Interestingly, the pedigree polytope seems to differ from the standard tour polytope, Qn with respect to the complexity of testing whether two given vertices of the polytope are nonadjacent. A polynomial time algorithm is given for nonadjacency testing in the pedigree polytope, whereas the corresponding problem is known to be NP-complete for Qn. We also discuss some properties of the pedigree polytope and illustrate with examples.  相似文献

How quay cranes (QC) are scheduled is vital to the productivity of seaside container port operations. Double cycling concept is an operation strategy of loading the containers into ships as they are unloaded, thus improving the efficiency of a QC as well as the container port. Goodchild and Daganzo (Transp Sci 40(4):473–483, 2006) first described QC double cycling problem and solved the problem after formulating it into a two machine flow shop problem. Song (Port Technol Int 36:50–52, 2007) studied the formula to determine the optimal starting sequence for double cycling while reflecting on the practical issue of QC working direction. The above studies focused on a single QC double cycling and their empirical trials showed the double cycling could improve the productivity of each QC approximately by between 10 and 20 %. In Zhang and Kim (Comput Ind Eng 56(3):979–992, 2009), a multiple QC double cycling model was first suggested by formulating a mixed integer programming model to maximise the number of double cycles between multiple QCs. In the present paper we point out a flaw with the existing multiple QC double cycling model that lets cycles that are not implementable. In addition, the paper discusses the need for imposing constraints arising from real world requirements to the formulations aiming at double cycling.  相似文献

A study of bound states of the fourth-generation quarks in the range of 500?C700 GeV is presented, where the binding energies are expected to be mainly of Yukawa origin, with QCD subdominant. Near degeneracy of their masses exhibits a new ??isospin??. The production of a colour-octet, isosinglet vector meson via $q\bar q \to \omega_8$ is the most interesting. Its leading decay modes are $\pi_8^\pm W^\mp$ , $\pi_8^0Z^0$ , and constituent quark decay, with $q\bar q$ and $t\bar t'$ and $b\bar b'$ subdominant. The colour octet, isovector pseudoscalar ?? 8 meson decays via constituent quark decay, or to Wg. This work calls for more detailed study of fourth-generation phenomena at LHC.  相似文献

This paper describes a method for synthesizing spin rotations with arbitrary space dependence on a sample of noninteracting spin 12 by using nonselective radio frequency pulses and pulsed field gradients. This method is used to map out spatial distribution of inhomogeneous B(0) field and to engineer a space dependent evolution of spins that cancels the space dependent phase spins acquire when precessing in an inhomogeneous magnetic field. The technique allows one to record high resolution spectra in inhomogeneous magnetic field by using only time varying linear gradients and rf fields and is expected to find applications in ex situ NMR.  相似文献

A thiophile-promoted synthesis of disubstituted 4H-[1,2,4]triazole-3-yl-amines as urea mimetics from the corresponding 1,3-disubstituted thioureas has been studied, and the scope and limitations of this reaction are presented. The reaction proceeds through the formation of a carbodiimide, followed by a sequential addition--dehydration with acyl hydrazides. 1,3-Branched dialkylthioureas result in the formation of the corresponding ureas. The electronic and steric effects of the substitution on the phenyl rings of the 1,3-diarylthioureas play an important role in the formation of the intermediary carbodiimde and the direction of the subsequent ring closure of the N-acyl hydrazide adduct.  相似文献

Amplitude filters with non-linear adaptive performance in the Fourier plane of a mirror optical system are considered. Panchromatic silver bromide layers with a printout effect are employed. A program has been developed and initiated at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) for the utilization of SQUID sensors in various application areas. DC SQUID sensors based on Nb-AlO x -Nb Josephson junctions have been designed and developed inhouse along with associated flux-locked loop (FLL) electronics. A compact low field SQUID magnetometer insertible in a liquid helium storage dewar has also been developed inhouse and is in use. Efforts to build a high field SQUID magnetometer, SQUID-DAC system, are in progress. A planar gradiometric DC SQUID sensor for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) application to be used in relatively unshielded environment has been designed and developed. An easily portable NDE cryostat with a small lift-off distance, to be used in external locations has been designed and tested. The magnetic field produced by a given two-dimensional current density distribution is inverted using the Fourier transform technique.  相似文献

A well known formulation of the multiple sequence alignment (MSA) problem is the maximum weight trace (MWT), a 0–1 linear programming problem. In this paper, we propose a new integer quadratic programming formulation of the MSA. The number of constraints and variables in the problem are only of the order of kL 2, where, k is the number of sequences and L is the total length of the sequences, that is, L = ?i=1kli{L= \sum_{i=1}^{k}l_{i}} , where l i is the length of sequence i. Based on this formulation we introduce an equivalent linear constrained 0–1 quadratic programming problem. We also propose a 0–1 linear programming formulation of the MWT problem, with polynomially many constraints. Our formulation provides the first direct compact formulation that ensures that the critical circuit inequalities (which are exponentially many) are all met.  相似文献
