Low energy metallic ions, generated by a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser(1064-nm wavelength,10-mJ energy,9-nm~12-ns-pulse width,10~(11)W/cm~2intensity)irradiated on a silicon substrate to modify various properties, such as electrical, morphological, and structural modifications.Thomson parabola technique is used to calculate the energy of these metallic ions whereas the electrical conductivity is calculated with the help of Four-point probe.Interestingly circular tracks forming chain like damage trails are produced via these energetic ions which are carefully examined by optical microscopy. It is observed that excitation, ionization, and cascade collisions are responsible for surface modifications of irradiated samples.Four-point probe analysis revealed that the electrical conductivity of substrate has reduced with increasing trend of atomic number of irradiated metallic ions(Al,Ti,Cu,and Au).The x-ray diffraction analysis elucidated the crystallographic changes leading to reduction of grain size of N-type silicon substrate, which is also associated with the metallic ions used. The decreasing trend of conductivity and grain size is due to thermal stresses, scattering effect, structural imperfections, and non-uniform conduction of energy absorbed by substrate atoms after the ion irradiation.  相似文献

This article presents analytical solutions of the general rate model (GRM), the lumped kinetic model (LKM), and the simpler equilibrium dispersive model (EDM) for core-shell particles and linear adsorption isotherms. The solutions in the Laplace domain are applied to derive analytical expressions for the temporal moments of these models. The results provide relations between the model specific kinetic parameters by matching one or more of the temporal moments. Several case studies are considered for illustration. The results show that simpler models are in many cases as good as the most detailed GRM if their kinetic parameters fulfill the matching relations. Thus, it is possible to reliably predict elution profiles using the simpler models. The derived analytical expressions can also be utilized to efficiently estimate model parameters from experimentally observed elution profiles to further optimize core-shell particles and to identify suitable column sizes and operating conditions.  相似文献

The interaction of nonionic diblock copolymer poly(ethylene oxide butylene oxide) (E62B22) with a cationic surfactant cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) were studied using surface tension, conductivity, and dynamic laser light scattering techniques. Surface tension measurements were used to determine critical micelle concentration and thereby its free energy of adsorption (ΔGads), free energy of micellization (ΔGm), surface excess concentration (Γ), and minimum area per molecule (A). Conductivity measurements were used to determine critical micelle concentration (CMC) critical aggregation concentration (CAC) at different temperatures, enthalpy of micellization (ΔHm), free energy of micellization and entropy of micellization (ΔSm). Changes in physicochemical properties of the micellized block copolymer were studied by using dynamic laser light scattering. The effect of surfactant on the size and properties of block copolymer has also been discussed.  相似文献

Cancer is the second-ranked disease and a cause of death for millions of people around the world despite many kinds of available treatments. Phytochemicals are considered a vital source of cancer-inhibiting drugs and utilize specific mechanisms including carcinogen inactivation, the induction of cell cycle arrest, anti-oxidant stress, apoptosis, and regulation of the immune system. Family Fabaceae is the second most diverse family in the plant kingdom, and species of the family are widely distributed across the world. The species of the Fabaceae family are rich in phytochemicals (flavonoids, lectins, saponins, alkaloids, carotenoids, and phenolic acids), which exhibit a variety of health benefits, especially anti-cancer properties; therefore, exploration of the phytochemicals present in various members of this family is crucial. These phytochemicals of the Fabaceae family have not been explored in a better way yet; therefore, this review is an effort to summarize all the possible information related to the phytochemical status of the Fabaceae family and their anti-cancer properties. Moreover, various research gaps have been identified with directions for future research.  相似文献
