In this Note, we propose three formulations of a model describing a quasi-neutral plasma with non-vanishing current. In order to study and compare the numerical efficiency of each formulation, two test-problems are implemented in one dimension. The first is a periodic perturbation of a uniform stationary plasma. Summary. In this paper we are interested in two phase flow problems in porous media. We use a Dual Mesh Method to discretize this problem with finite volume schemes. In a simplified case (elliptic - hyperbolic system) we prove the convergence of approximate solutions to the exact solutions. We use the Dual Mesh Method in physically complex problems (heterogeneous cases with non constant total mobility). The influence of various surface preparation methods (mechanical polishing, electropolishing and etching) on the passivity and the corrosion behaviour of a duplex stainless steel (UNS S32202) was studied using Auger spectroscopy and the electrochemical microcell technique. From surface analyses, the thickness and chemical compositions (ratios Cr/Fe and O2?/OH?, distribution of chloride and nitrogen) were determined. The corrosion behaviour of samples was investigated from local polarization curves. The presence of oxidation peaks and stable pitting was discussed considering the specimen microstructure and the properties of the passive film.  相似文献

In the present article, the relationships between oxidation processes, surface strains and the microstructure of duplex stainless steels were investigated. Specimens were oxidized at 500 °C under secondary vacuum for 1 h to form a thin oxide film (thickness in the range of 20–50 nm). Such specimens were considered as the model system for developing novel methods of analysis in understanding the behavior of passive films. The interfacial strain field after oxidation was measured experimentally at the microscale using the point grid method. On the other hand, the chemical composition of the oxide film was determined at the submicroscopic scale by means of local scanning Auger spectroscopy (with a spot diameter of 50 nm). Local variations of the chemical composition of the oxide film were analyzed according to the specimen microstructure and the strain field. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This study examines the difficulties college students experience when creating and interpreting graphs in which speed is one of the variables. Nineteen students, all preservice elementary or middle school teachers, completed an upper‐level course exploring algebraic concepts. Although all of these preservice teachers had previously completed several mathematics courses, including calculus, they demonstrated widespread misconceptions about the variable speed. This study identifies four cognitive obstacles held by the students, provides excerpts of their graphical constructions and verbal interpretations, and discusses potential causes for the confusion. In particular, misconceptions arose when students interpreted the behavior and nature of speed within a graphical context, as well as in situations where they were required to construct a graph involving speed as a variable. The study concludes by offering implications for the teaching and learning of speed and its interpretation within a graphical setting.  相似文献

针对准中性Vlasov-Poisson系统中多尺度物理参数共存的问题开展研究,采用渐近保持格式推导出与Vlasov方程相耦合的Poisson方程。数值模拟了一维等离子体在真空中的膨胀,比较了渐近保持PIC算法与传统PIC算法模拟结果的异同。结果表明:两种算法在满足多尺度中小尺度量限制的前提下,其结果保持高度一致;且在克服小尺度量束缚时,渐近保持PIC算法依然可以正确地模拟等离子体的物理行为,大大节省了计算时间。  相似文献

This paper deals with the numerical resolution of the Vlasov–Poisson system in a nearly quasineutral regime by Particle-In-Cell (PIC) methods. In this regime, Classical PIC methods are subject to stability constraints on the time and space steps related to the small Debye length and large plasma frequency. Here, we propose an “Asymptotic-Preserving” PIC scheme which is not subjected to these limitations. Additionally, when the plasma period and Debye length are small compared to the time and space steps, this method provides a consistent PIC discretization of the quasineutral Vlasov equation. We perform several one-dimensional numerical experiments which provide a solid validation of the method and its underlying concepts, and compare the method with Classical PIC and Direct-Implicit methods.  相似文献

Fast atom bombardment, combined with high-energy collision-induced tandem mass spectrometry, has been used to investigate gas-phase metal-ion interactions with captopril, enalaprilat and lisinopril, all angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.Suggestions for the location of metal-binding sites are presented. For captopril, metal binding occurs most likely at both the sulphur and the nitrogen atom. For enalaprilat and lisinopril, binding preferably occurs at the amine nitrogen. In this article, we introduce the new notion of acyclic improper colorings of graphs. An improper coloring of a graph is a vertex-coloring in which adjacent vertices are allowed to have the same color, but each color class Vi satisfies some condition depending on i. Such a coloring is acyclic if there are no alternating 2-colored cycles. We prove that every outerplanar graph can be acyclically 2-colored in such a way that each monochromatic subgraph has degree at most five and that this result is best possible.
